CLAT 2027 syllabus: The Consortium of NLUs has not announced the exam date for the Common Law Admission Test. However, it is expected that the CLAT Exam 2027 will be conducted on December 6, 2026. The Consortium will release the CLAT Syllabus 2027 along with the notification. Candidates must note that the CLAT Syllabus 2027 for both undergraduate and graduate programs is different.

Solving mock test helps candidates to understand the exam pattern and also the sections they are lagging behind. With this they can rework on those section where they are scoring low. CLAT mock test also helps candidates to understand the time based prepration to solve the question paper on exam day.
In CLAT Exam there will be 120 questions. The exam paper will be in MCQ format. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the paper. Since there is a negative marking candidates must attempt carefully.
There will be no sectional qualifying criterion for CLAT 2027. The overall marks will be considered while preparing the merit list for CLAT. But to ensure a good score, candidates must ensure a high number of attempts with full accuracy.
CLAT UG Syllabus 2027: Subject-Wise Topics

English Language: The English section in CLAT UG aims to check candidates’ reading and comprehension ability. There will be passage-based questions of 400-500 words followed by MCQs. Apart from this, the test paper will also include questions from topics like vocabulary, idioms, grammar, sentence correction, and para jumble.
Current Affairs including General Knowledge: The section focuses on both national and international current affairs. Candidates are advised to prepare topics like awards, landmark judgements, international treaties, history, appointments, polity, government policies, etc for the CLAT Current Affairs & GK section.
Legal Reasoning
Given that the CLAT Legal Reasoning has the most weight in CLAT UG, this is the most crucial section of the exam. It doesn't require any prior legal knowledge, so candidates don't need to worry. This section assesses a candidate's capacity to apply legal principles to the scenarios presented in the passage and provide an appropriate response.
Logical Reasoning
The CLAT Logical Reasoning section aims to evaluate the candidate’s analytical and critical thinking ability. It will include topics like arguments and conclusions, syllogisms, logical puzzles, blood relations, analogies, and critical reasoning. To improve accuracy candidates must attempt CLAT Mock Tests.
Quantitative Techniques
The CLAT Mathematics Section includes basic elementary maths; i.e. up to class 10 level. Mostly the section includes case-based questions that requires calculation and data interpretation. The questions come from the topics such as ratios, percentages, averages, time & work, profit & loss, mensuration, and probability.

Yes there is negative marking in CLAT Exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted if the answer is wrong. For each correct answer one marks will be awarded.
CLAT Exam Analysis helps those who have appeared for the exam and those who are preparing for next session. The analysis helps candidates to know the type of questions asked, the difficulty level and how to attempt the paper.
According to the CLAT exam pattern, there will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating the total marks of a candidate. Hence, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better to leave it unattempted rather than doing a guess work, to avoid negative marking.
Candidates must note that the math questions in the CLAT exam are mostly from Class 10th mathematics. The section will have 10-14 questions. Candidates must cover topics like percentages, ratios, averages, profit/loss, and basic algebra.
