
CLAT Exam Centres 2026: The Consortium has allocated the test centers for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam in the hall ticket. The examination cell also provided the list of exam centres along with the CLAT Notification 2026. The CLAT 2026 will be conducted in more than 139 cities CLAT test centres in around 89 cities of 25 states and 5 UTs. On the day of the CLAT 2026 exam, the candidates will have to report to the exam center as per the scheduled time mentioned on the CLAT admit card. Since the exam centre authority does not allow entry to candidates who are late, candidates must ensure that they reach on time.
To ensure that there is no untoward incident on exam day, it is recommended that the candidate visit and check the alloted CLAT exam centre location a day in advance. This will help them to get an understanding of the traffic situation, travel time, travel route, and also the locality.
Note: The Consortium has changed one of the test centres for CLAT exam in Lucknow city from Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Govt. Girls PG College to Lucknow Public College, A-Block. .

How to Choose CLAT Exam Centre 2026?
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to choose CLAT exam centres at the time of application form filling:
- Log in to your applicant account
- Go to "Preferences"
- There you have to select THREE preferences (separately) - Test Centre Preference - 1, Test Centre Preference - 2, Test Centre Preference - 3
- Use the drop-down to select a test centre for each preference (Opt Preference 1 for your favourite test centre)
- Save the changes

CLAT Admit Card 2026
As already mentioned above, the details regarding the allotted test centre are mentioned on the CLAT admit card. Candidates can download the admit card in online mode; it will be released a few weeks before the conduct of the exam. The following exam-centre related details will be mentioned on the admit card include:
- Course applied for admission
- Exam date and time
- Allotted test centre name
- Complete address of the test centre
- Reporting time
- Exam day instructions to be followed at the CLAT exam centre
CLAT 2026 Exam Centre Instructions
On the exam day, you should be careful about things mentioned below:
- Documents to carry: Do not forget to carry the CLAT admit card along with one valid photo ID proof to the test centre. Candidates not having any of these will not be allowed to give the exam.
- Reporting at exam centre: The test centre officials allow entry to the examination hall only after they check the admit card and other documents. Therefore, candidates must reach the allotted test centre at least an hour before the exam timings.
- Stationery items to carry: Since CLAT is an offline exam, candidates should carry one HB pencil and two pens ideally black/blue colour to the test centre.
- Avoid taking prohibited items to the exam centre: Candidates should not carry any item which is not allowed in the examination hall including, mobile phones, notes/books/study material, watch, earphones/headphones, sunglass, etc.
How to Edit CLAT Exam Centre 2026 Preferences?
Candidates can avail the facility of CLAT exam cities edit by these steps
- Log on to consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Enter mobile number and password.
- Click on the Edit Application button
- Go to the Preferences tab.
- Update three exam centre preferences.
- Save the form

The mode of the CLAT exam is offline or paper-based mode. Candidates are handed over hardcopy of CLAT question paper and OMR sheets to answer the questions. Candidates will have to be careful while filling OMR sheet as any scratch or cuts in the OMR sheet will lead to disqualification.

It totally depends on you that when you should start preparing for CLAT. If you want really good marks in board exams, focus on that at first and then prepare for CLAT. If you can manage boards and CLAT preparation side by side then go for it, but do not affect your board scores.

There will be no sectional qualifying criterion for CLAT 2026. The overall marks will be considered while preparing the merit list for CLAT. But to ensure a good score, candidates must ensure a high number of attempts with full accuracy.

According to the CLAT exam pattern, there will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating the total marks of a candidate. Hence, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better to leave it unattempt

The CLAT exam for both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be conducted for 2-hour; i.e. 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates must note that the exam will be conducted in offline mode. There will be 120 MCQs. Total number of sections in the question paper will be five.
