Mistakes you should not make in the MAH CET exam

MBA CET exam 2026 is all set to be held on April 6, 7 and 8. Candidates who have registered for April session should gear for the big day by revising all the important formulas, theorems and short notes. Go through the previous years’ MAH MBA CET question paper to know the latest sectional composition. Basis that, make an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.

At the same time, prepare for MAH CET 2026 by going through exam day guidelines and process. The most common mistakes candidates make in MAH CET is mostly related to guidelines and test process. So, be aware of whats, whys, dos and don’ts of the exam day. We have listed below some common mistake to avoid in MAH MBA CET 2026.

Common Mistake to Avoid in MAH MBA CET 2026

Panic revision: while it is highly recommended to do last minute revision, you should know, what to revise and what not to. Do not overburden your mind by trying to revise every topic. You cannot. So, revise only the important topics from which maximum questions are asked and the topics that are your strong area. Do not keep revising till late hours. Give yourself good night sleep a night before the exam

Doubting yourself: Some candidates, despite covering every aspect of the exam, doubt themselves. They think they could have prepared better. It’s okay to feel so but don’t think that you haven’t done enough until you appear for the exam. Pre exam nervousness is highly capable of spoiling performance.

Last minute scramble: If you have missed any MAH CET topic, forget about it now. This is not the time to study a new topic and mess up your mind. Use the last few days of time on simply revising what you’ve studied so far. It is very unlikely that you would have not prepared important topics already.

Reaching MAH CET exam centre late: Candidates are supposed to report to the test centre, 2 hours before the exam. Entry cut off time is 30 minutes before the shift starting time. Reach your examination centre on time for smooth identification process.

Not carrying requisite documents: Carry 2 copies of the MAH CET admit card 2026 and a photo ID card issued by Government of India. You can carry, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, Passport or Driving License. PwD candidates should carry relevant documents that they will require to present at the test centre.

Not following the dress code: There is no specific dress code for MAH MBA CET 2026, but candidates are advised to not wear outfits and accessories with metal. They are advised to wear simple clothes and shoes. Googles, caps and headgears will not be allowed. For religious headgears, candidates will have to take prior permission.

Rushing through MAH CET questions: 150 minutes is too less for 200 questions. So choose questions carefully and read them slowly. If you rush through them, you may miss a key point and end up choosing incorrect option for it. Target between 155-170 questions only.

Bad time management: MAH MBA CET is a 180-minutes exam in which you will need to use every minute judiciously. Many candidates face challenge in the exam as they don’t have a time management plan. This is the most common mistake in MAH CET. Do not try to attempt all 200 questions, you can’t do it anyway. Also, don’t spend more than a minute on any questions. If you can’t choose the answer soon, move on to next. You can come back to the same question later, it time permits.

MAH MBA CET 2026 score will be valid for one year only, i. e. it can be used for admission to the 2026 academic session only. If a candidate plans to drop admission this year, they will have to appear for the exam again next year.
