IIM Mumbai waitlist movement 2026 will be released in June once the admissions are completed for final merit list. Usually, it takes 14-22 days for the institute to close the offer acceptance window for final result. After that the waitlist is prepared category wise, based on candidate’s Composite Score.
According to previous years’ trends, it is being speculated that there can be waitlist movement at IIM Mumbai of around 372 seats. Similarly, there can be a movement of 231 seats in NC-OBC category and about 46 seats for EWS category. There can be a movement of about 123 seats in SC category and about 37 in ST category.

Seats in IIM Mumbai MBA course are allotted on the basis of Composite Score of the candidate. This Composite Score is calculated on the basis of candidate’s performance in CAT exam and PI, academic profile, work experience and diversity (academic and gender). The PI round for 2026 admission was conducted in February-March. Final result will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in the same and their programme preference (MBA, MBA OSCM, MBA SM).
