What After KMAT Results?
As mentioned before, once the KMAT results are announced, each participating college releases a cutoff list and shortlists the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in the entrance test. Choosing what to do after the KMAT Karnataka 2025 result is announced is completely an individual’s decision. However, it must be a careful and prudent one. Those candidates who score well in the entrance exam start preparing for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds, and those who might not have scored very well either opt for appearing for other MBA entrance exams or take up a job or plan on giving KMAT another chance.
Those who score well in the KMAT exam and match the cutoff criteria can also plan on taking part in the further KMAT admission process. Candidates must prepare themselves for the KMAT counselling, well before appearing for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. In the GD and PI rounds, candidates are evaluated on various grounds such as general awareness, managerial skills, personality, confidence, past academic performance, extracurricular activities, etc.

Another decision that the candidates must make after the KMAT results are announced is the choice of college. If their scores match the cutoff of their preferred college, they can start preparing for the selection process, but if they score less, they must know which is the second-most preferred college. Candidates must also choose their MBA specialisation. Their future career goals must be in line with the specialisation they choose. They must also consider factors such as the scope of their choice, the kind of job opportunities the field would bring, market value, etc.
KMAT Counselling Process 2025
Each participating institute prepares a merit list based on the results and shortlists the candidates. The KMAT counselling procedure starts after the KMAT results are announced. The institutes will release a schedule for the selection of the candidates and the GD and PI rounds. Candidates who will be shortlisted will have to visit the venue and appear for these rounds on the scheduled dates. Candidates must know that each participating institute has its unique cutoff criteria.

Therefore, candidates with relevant scores in KMAT can get admission to MBA courses. However, it is not compulsory. Cand
