How to Crack NEET in Three Months

Now we share the strategies or steps aspirants need to follow in order to ace NEET in three months.

Manage your strengths and weaknesses: In the last three months of NEET preparation, they should manage both the strong and weak areas carefully. There is still some time left to prepare for the weak areas and try to minimise the weaknesses as much as possible. In case there is a lack of conceptual clarity, one must go back to the basics and refer to NCERT books and other best resources for the subjects in question. Along with gaining conceptual clarity, students should also focus on practice, as no amount of learning would be complete without practice or taking section-wise mock tests. At the same time, they must not lose focus on the strong areas. They should dedicate at least a couple of hours a day to studying and practising the topics they have a stronghold on, otherwise, they would lose touch with those areas and it would be difficult to recapture those areas later.

Zero down on books and study materials to refer to: There are a plethora of NEET preparation books and study materials available in the market and this often leads to the problem of plenty. Hence, aspirants should go through the list of available books and determine which are the best and must for cracking NEET. NCERT books on Chemistry, Physics and Biology are a must to be studied from. Apart from that, there are certain books that are meant for NEET preparation, and others can be referred to for strengthening the concepts. Experts suggest that candidates should not cram up a lot of books, as it may confuse them. The best way is to consult with their teachers, mentors, seniors or fellow students to understand which books would be the best for them.

Revise Regularly: Students must revise the topics practised so far so they do not forget the knowledge they have acquired. Aspirants should dedicate the first half of the week to learning new topics and the second leg of the week to revising the topics or subjects they had studied in the previous week. They should continue this cycle to remain up-to-date with all the important topics. In order to retain knowledge on the subjects, it is not enough to get conceptual clarity; one has to constantly revise to be able to complete the NEET 2026 preparation in three months.

Take Regular Mock Tests: Regular writing of mock tests will aid in taking the NEET 2026 preparation to the next level. Taking regular mock tests will help aspirants understand and analyse their preparation level as well as understand their mistakes. At this stage, NEET aspirants should take at least two mock tests in a week and get their performance analysed by their mentors or experts. NEET Mock tests will also help them assess their preparation vis-à-vis other NEET takers. On the basis of mock test performance, candidates must modify their preparation plan. For example, if the score is low in a section, candidate should devote more time to that section. Understanding the type of mistake would be the next focus area. If the answer is wrong because of a simple mistakes, then candidates should improve focus and practice to minimise such errors. On the other hand, if the mistakes are caused by a lack of understanding, they should not waste any more time and go back to revising the concepts and strengthening their ground.

Refer to Past Years’ Question Papers: There is no better way to know what to expect in the NEET 2026 than to go through and solve previous years’ question papers, which would give aspirants a thorough idea of the topics and their weightage, question types and difficulty level all at once. Hence, aspirants should collect and go through previous years’ question papers to improve their exam-taking strategy and time management skills. By solving multiple NEET question papers, aspirants can make a strategy on which section to attempt first, how many questions or topics to be attempted, and the duration for each question, to name a few.

Maintain Time Table: Most of the NEET aspirants must have prepared a timetable for NEET exam preparation and follow it religiously. Accordingly, review the timetable and adjust it. The sections which need improvement should be assigned more time. The timing for revision, taking mock tests and solving previous years’ question papers should be included in the new timetable. On the other hand, the time that aspirants would have dedicated to gaining conceptual understanding may be replaced with practice and revision. The modification of the table would also depend on the mock test analysis.

Aspirants are advised to follow the strategies shared in this article throughout the remaining three months of NEET 2026. Take care of your health, both physically and mentally, while preparing. Do not allow any distractions. Aspirants should work the hardest during these three months.

The NTA conducts the NEET UG exam only once in a year. Candidates who want to appear for the exam to get admissions to medical, dental or allied courses should prepare well in advance. One year is a good time to prepare and crack the exam.
