NTA Exam Day Advisory for NEET 2021

Ahead of NEET 2021 which will be conducted on September 12, National Testing Agency (NTA) has shared exam day guidelines and student advisory for the candidates. The NEET 2021 exam day guidelines have been shared with the candidates through email along with a video sharing a detailed overview of what to expect on the exam day.

NEET 2021 Exam Day Instructions by NTA

Some of the important NEET 2021 exam day instructions to be followed by the candidates are given below:

  • Candidates have to carry at least two copies of the NEET 2021 admit card with them with coloured postcard size photograph pasted on the space provided and with their parent’s signature

  • The Self-declaration/Undertaking must be filled and handed over to Invigilator

  • The photograph and signature on the second-page match with the photograph and signature pasted on the first page of the admit card

  • The signature must be done across the photograph on the left side on page number two

  • Candidates have to carry any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by the government such as PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID/Class 12 Board Exam Admit or Registration card/Passport/Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar/Ration Card/Aadhaar Enrolment Number with photo. All other ID/Photocopies of IDs even if attested/scanned photos of IDs in mobile phones will not be considered as valid ID Proof.

  • On completion of the test, candidates have to hand over the OMR Sheet (both Original and Office Copy) to the Invigilator and take away only the Test Booklet with them

Advisory Regarding COVID-19

NTA has issued the following guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions:

  • Practice Social distancing

  • Mandatorily use N-95 masks being provided at the Centre.

  • Use of alcohol-based hand sanitisers (for at least 20 seconds) can be made, wherever feasible

  • Strictly follow respiratory etiquette. This involves the strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing of used tissues properly

  • Self-monitor health by all and reporting any illness at the earliest

Over 16 lakh candidates have applied for NEET 2021 which will be conducted in 3,855 centres in 202 cities across India and two international cities – Dubai and Kuwait. According to NTA, Jaipur has the highest number of candidates, 58,017 and Kavaratti (Lakshadweep Islands) has the lowest number of candidates, which is 217.

The medium of the question papers has been increased to 13 this year. Those who have chosen English or Hindi would receive a white booklet, for other regional languages, the question booklet colour would be yellow and that for Urdu, the colour of the booklet would be light green.
