- Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), notes, writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, etc.
- All ornaments like bracelets, Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin
- Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap etc.
- Any eatable items and water bottle are also banned.
No, the NEET PG exam is scheduled for August 30. As per the existing NEET PG pattern, the question paper comprises 200 multiple choice questions and candidates get 3.5 hours to answer them.

Don’t take up any new topic
NEET PG 2025 syllabus is vast, and candidates may have left some topics by mistake or due to time constraints. But a new topic needs thorough study, note-making exercise, and revision. The whole process consumes a lot of time, and candidates have only six days for the exam to begin. This time needs to be optimally used to fine-tune their strategy. Candidates must spend these days recollecting whatever has been learned till now.
Focus on clinical subjects
This time, more questions could be asked from clinical subjects. Candidates need to plan accordingly to score one hundred percent marks in this section. Some of the most important clinical subjects that candidates need to revise are Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Pediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, PSM, Radiology, and Psychiatry.
Concentrate on the applied aspect in Pre/Para clinical portion
NEET PG syllabus comprises three sections: Preclinical, Para clinical, and Clinical. These are further segmented into Anatomy, Pathology, and Psychiatry, among others. For Pre/Para clinicals, students are advised to concentrate on applied aspects rather than the entire theory/topic.
Appear for the mock test
Your performance in the mock test provides a real picture of your preparation for D-day. Candidates are advised to appear for the mock test so that they know where the gaps are and what more needs to be done. Candidates may have attempted many mock tests earlier, but a week before the exam, a mock test helps candidates to gain confidence. Revise the topics thoroughly once and appear for the final mock test before the exam day.

These 3Cs prove vital in scaling up things in candidates' favor. Candidates are advised not to lose sleep thinking too much about how they will perform on the exam day. They just need to give their best shot on D-Day. Think about your strong points, which subject areas you are a master at. Take good care of health

According to the past year data, the last round NEET PG closing rank for MD/MS admission at IUL Lucknow ranged between 4097 and 7174 in the year 2025. The most difficult branch to get admission to was MS Ophthalmology and the most-the easiest one was MS in ENT.

Yes, for postgraduate medical courses like MD and MS, colleges accept NEET PG scores. For super-specialty courses, NEET SS is required. MBBS admission, however, is based only on NEET UG.

No. NEET-PG is mandatory for all MD admissions in India across all colleges, government, private, deemed, and central institutions. There is no alternative entrance exam or direct admission route for MD. Even foreign nationals of Indian origin need to qualify in the relevant entrance process.
