NEET result 2022 has been announced by NTA on September 7, 2022 at the official website. NTA released the NEET 2022 result at 11:25 PM after much wait from the candidates who appeared for the exam on July 17. As it was estimated, result was released in the late evening hours, similar to that of last year. Candidates can now check their NEET 2022 result by logging in to the official website. Like last year, NTA may send the NEET 2022 scorecards to candidates directly on their registered email addresses. The National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body will be releasing NEET result on its official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The final NEET 2022 official answer key will also be released along with the NEET result 2022. NEET 2022 was held on July 17 in offline mode at over 4,000 NEET test centres across the country and abroad. Over 18 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.

How to check NEET Result 2022?

NTA will send scorecards to individual candidates on their registered email addresses. They will also have to download NEET result 2022 from the official website by login into their official account. NEET 2022 result has been released in the form of a scorecard. The steps to download NEET results are given below:

Q:   How will I come to know when the NEET result is announced?
A:

NTA announces the NEET result or scorecard download information on the official exam website. Various media portals and social media platforms also announce the declaration of results. Test takers are advised to keep a check on the official websites as well as opt for notifications or alerts at the news and social media platforms to get instantly notified about the declaration of NEET result. Moreover, they also get the NEET result information from their teachers or peers. 

Q:   Where can I check the NEET result?
A:

The NEET result is declared on the official websites of NTA and NEET. The URLs where the result or the scorecard of NEET 2025 are available for download are as follows:

The above-mentioned websites carry the official notice about the NEET result declaration, procedure and links to download the NEET 2025 scorecard.

Q:   When did NTA release the NEET 2024 result?
A:

NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores.

  • A new window will open

  • Enter the details such as roll number, password, date of birth and security pin

  • NEET result 2022 will appear on the screen

  • Verify the details mentioned in the result

  • Download the result and take printouts for future reference

NEET Cut Off 2022

NTA will be releasing the NEET 2022 cutoff score along with the result. As the difficulty level of NEET 2022 was moderate to tough, the total number of test takers was much higher. Hence, the cut-off may slightly rise this year. The standard cut off has already been announced by NTA. Candidates who score above the cut off percentile will be considered qualified for the exam. NEET cut off 2021 percentile for general category candidates is 50th percentile while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40th percentile.

NEET Final Answer Key 2022

NTA will release the NEET final answer key 2022 on its official website along with the result.  NTA will give the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer keys. A committee of experts will analyse the challenges made against the answer key and if found correct it is revised accordingly. The answer key will be released in PDF format. Candidates will have to download the answer key for all codes. With the final answer key, candidates can match and verify the answers marked to calculate the score.

NEET Result 2022: What Next?

After the NEET result announcement, counselling will be held for seat allotment in different undergraduate medical courses. NEET counselling 2022 will be held for 15 per cent All India Quota and 85 per cent state quota seats. The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting the counselling process for 15 per cent AIQ seats while the respective state authorities will conduct counselling for the rest of 85 per cent seats. Candidates will have to register themselves online and fill the choice of courses and colleges for NEET counselling 2022. The counselling for the All India Quota seats will be conducted in two rounds. The seats left vacant after the first round will be carried forward to the second round.

Q:   What is the validity of the NEET scorecard?
A:

NEET score card is valid for admission to the current academic session only. NEET 2025 result cannot be carried forward for admission to the 2026-27 academic session. Hence, in case a candidate fails to qualify for NEET 2025 or unable to take admission in that academic year, then they have to appear for NEET next year and seek admission. Beyond a year, the NEET scorecard will just be another document or a record to prove the appearance in NEET.

Q:   How should I check the NEET 2025 result?
A:

NEET 2025 result has to be checked in an online mode only. The step-by-step procedure to check and download the NEET 2025 result or scorecard.

  1. Visit the official website of NEET 2025 - neet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the tab indicating NEET 2025 Scorecard
  3. Log in with NEET 2025 application number and date of birth
  4. Download the NEET 2025 scorecard in PDF format.

Candidates must preserve the scorecard till the conclusion of their admission process.

Q:   What is the difference between NEET scorecard and NEET merit list?
A:
NEET scorecard is an individual document which carries information regarding candidates' obtained scores, percentiles and ranks. On the other hand, merit list is a common document which consists of the list of test takers along with their scores and ranks. Both the documents are prepared by NTA the exam conducting body. The NEET scorecard is issued only to candidates who can download it by logging in through their registration credentials and nobody else can access it. NEET merit list, on the other hand, is released publicly and includes the All India Rank list of candidates along with their obtained scores, percentiles and state.

The NTA is likely to release the NEET UG 2026 notification in February 2026. The notification will be released with the information bulletin containing the exam dates and details. Students need to go through the notification before filling out the NEET UG form 2026.

Yes, students can get admission to the BPharm course at Vidya Siri College of Pharmacy without NEET. Even students without relevant scores in KCET can also get admissions to the BPharm course. The only factor that is considered is Class 12 scores. Admissions is based on merit.
