CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strong statement rejecting claims about paper leaks for the 2025 board exams as "baseless" and aimed at spreading unnecessary panic among students and parents. The board, which is overseeing the CBSE Class 10 Exam 2025 and CBSE Class 12 Exam 2025 for approximately 44 lakh students across 8,000 schools in India and abroad, emphasized that it is actively working to combat the spread of misinformation on social media platforms.
CBSE Board Exam 2025 Paper Leak Fake Claims and Rumors
The CBSE board strongly condemned the rumors circulating about paper leaks on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). These false claims are alleged to have misled students by falsely suggesting access to the 2025 examination question papers. The board assured the public that it had implemented thorough measures to ensure the fair and smooth conduct of the exams, which started on February 15 and will continue until April 4, 2025.
Strict Action against Misinformation
In response to these false claims, the board confirmed that it is monitoring the situation closely and taking decisive action against those spreading such misinformation. CBSE is collaborating with law enforcement agencies to identify and prosecute those responsible for creating panic through fake news. Students involved in spreading false information will be penalized under the CBSE’s Unfair Means (UFM) rules and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Consequences for Students Spreading Misinformation
According to CBSE’s official rules, sharing or uploading any exam-related material on social media platforms is considered an offense. If students are found guilty, they risk facing severe penalties, including the cancellation of their current and the next three years’ exams across all subjects. The board reiterated its commitment to ensuring the integrity of the exam process and warned students to avoid engaging with unverified information online.
CBSE Appeals to Parents and Stakeholders
CBSE has urged parents to guide their children not to fall for unverified claims and to avoid engaging with rumors during the exam period. The board emphasized that all students, parents, and schools should rely solely on official CBSE communications available on the board’s official website (www.cbse.gov.in) and verified public channels for updates on the examination process.
Security Measures for CBSE 2025 Exams
As the CBSE Board Exams progress, security measures have been heightened to maintain the integrity of the examination process. CCTV surveillance, a strict dress code, and clear instructions on allowed and prohibited items in the exam hall are in place. The board has also issued guidelines regarding unfair means practices (UFM) and the associated penalties, ensuring a fair and secure exam environment for all candidates.
