Maharashtra HSC Exams 2026: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is expected to announce Maharashtra HSC 2026 in soon. The exam concluded on March 11. What is Maharashtra HSC Board Exam 2026?

Maha HSC board exams are held every year by the Maharashtra State Education Board for Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The Board conducts the exam in its nine divisions located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur, and Ratnagiri. The Maharashtra 12th exam consists of both theory and practical papers. The passing marks in the exam are 35 per cent. Those failing to secure the same can improve their scores by appearing in the Maharashtra HSC Supplementary exams.

Maharashtra HSC Exam Pattern 2026

Each student is required to attain 35% marks in each subject to clear the examination.

In Maha board, a student needs to pass in at least 5 subjects including one language subject to be considered as passed in the Class 12th Board exam. However, if you have failed in 1 or 2 subjects, you may be eligible to appear for the Maharashtra Class 12th Supplementary exams. The supplementary exam is a second chance given to students who have failed in one or two subjects in the main exam to clear their papers and obtain their passing Certificate. The compartment exam is usually held in July/August, and students have to fill a separate compartment exam application form and pay the exam fee. If you clear the compartment exam, you will receive a passing Certificate. And you will be eligible for admission to higher education courses.
