IIT Bombay Partners with Samsung R&D Noida to Drive Innovation in Digital Health and AI
IIT Bombay and Samsung R&D Noida have partnered to drive breakthroughs in AI, digital health, and other key areas. This collaboration aims to foster a sustained exchange of expertise, paving the way for next-gen technologies.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has joined forces with Samsung R&D Institute, Noida (SRI-Noida), through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance industry-academia collaboration. This five-year partnership will focus on groundbreaking research in artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, and other pivotal areas. It will foster joint research initiatives, providing IIT Bombay students and faculty with valuable opportunities to collaborate with Samsung engineers on innovative projects. The MoU was formally signed by Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director of SRI-Noida, and Prof. Upendra V. Bhandarkar, Associate Dean of Research and Development at IIT Bombay.
The MoU fosters the publication of joint research papers, encouraging knowledge sharing that will fuel technological advancement and industry-driven innovation. Through this partnership, Samsung and IIT Bombay are establishing a foundation for ongoing expertise exchange, pushing the boundaries of next-generation technologies and paving the way for future breakthroughs.
This approach will not only create new opportunities for students but also enhance their industry readiness. Additionally, it will provide Samsung engineers with specialized training and certification programs from IIT Bombay in emerging technologies like digital health and AI.
