The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, through its Continuing Education Centre (CEC), has partnered with Scaler to launch an Advanced AI Engineering Program. This industry-aligned initiative is designed to equip both tech and non-tech professionals with practical skills in AI and machine learning, preparing them for high-impact roles in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape. Offering flexible learning pathways and a hands-on curriculum co-developed by IIT Roorkee faculty and industry experts, the program bridges academic excellence with real-world application.

Advanced AI Engineering Program

The program features comprehensive modules covering foundational and advanced concepts in machine learning and deep learning, with a strong focus on real-world applications. Learners will gain hands-on experience using large language models (LLMs) for system design and enhancing developer productivity, leveraging tools like Cursor and Copilot.

The curriculum also explores the development of AI agents using industry-standard frameworks, the evaluation of generative AI solutions, and the application of LLMs across various modalities including text, image, audio, and video through the integration of APIs such as OpenAI and ChatCompletion. Additionally, students will delve into sector-specific applications of AI. For instance, in healthcare, they will explore how AI can drive efficiencies in diagnosis, drug discovery, and patient care.

The program is delivered through a dynamic blend of live online classes and hands-on learning via real-world projects. A key highlight is a two-day campus immersion at IIT Roorkee, where learners will gain access to the institute’s cutting-edge research facilities and resources. During the immersion, participants will also have the opportunity to connect with peers and engage with industry leaders through curated networking events, fostering collaboration and real-world insights.

Upon completing the two-month program, participants will be awarded a joint certificate from the Continuing Education Centre at IIT Roorkee and Scaler. This certification not only enhances their professional profile but also formally acknowledges their proficiency with advanced AI technologies. It opens doors for career transitions into high-demand roles such as Data Scientist, AI Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Developer, while showcasing a commitment to ongoing learning in a fast-evolving field.
