IIT Roorkee admissions 2026 are open. A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Advanced 2026 application registration has started for admission to the BE/BTech course. Students can register until May 2, 2026, for the exam scheduled on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 2 result has been announced on the official website for IIT Roorkee admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses.
- The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to the ME/MTech programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).
- The IIT JAM 2026 counselling registration is now over for admission to the MSc course. Students can submit their choices till May 6, 2026, with the first admission list to be declared tentatively on May 25, 2026.
- The CEED 2026 results for the MDes programme have been released. Students can access and download their scorecard until Jul 31, 2026, by logging in to the official website.

In the year 2015, the highest package offered was 25 Lacs per annum and the average package was 10.55 Lacs per annum. This year the highest placement for ECE is 16 LPA. The placement drive is still going on, so stats may fluctuate. IIT Roorkee cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the MBA course for various categories. The cutoff was published in the form of opening and closing percentiles. As per the details for the General AI category, the overall percentile required was 95 and 50 percentile was needed for the Quants, VA

No, you cannot apply for B.Des programme at IIT Roorkee even if you have cleared the UCEED Entrance Exam because Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in 10+2. But you can apply for B.Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des programme will be based on CEED 2026 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.
