The marking scheme for AILET will be as under- +1 mark each correct answer -0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt. No marks will be awarded or deducted for questions not attempted

Is there negative marking in AILET Exam?

Candidates must note that the AILET Exam 2027 has negative marking too. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark. AILET Exam Pattern 2026 (BA LLB & LLM) details exam mode, duration, marking scheme, negative marking, and weightage in detail to help the candidate understand the exam expectations. The AILET exam pattern is released by the National Law University Delhi on the website nationallawuniversitydelhi.in, along with the AILET notification 2026. As AILET 2026 is an objective-type test; there will be no descriptive sections in the AILET question paper. The AILET paper will carry 150 questions in MCQ format.
