
TS LAWCET Counselling 2026 - The candidates who pass the TG LAWCET exam 2026 will be able to participate in the counselling. This exercise will be conducted for granting admission to the colleges accepting these scores. There will be two phases of TSLAWCET counselling- Phase 1 & Phase 2. The candidates who could not qualify for the second phase of TS LAWCET counselling will have to wait for further notification for the counselling schedule, if the seats remain vacant.

TS LAWCET Counselling 2026 Phase II
After the first round of counselling, the following candidates are allowed to take part in the next round of TS LAWCET 2026 counselling:
- Candidates who got a seat in the first round but now wish to change their allotted college.
- Those who attended Phase I counselling but didn’t get any seat.
- TS LAWCET rank holders who were called for the first round but didn’t attend it.
- Candidates who were allotted a seat but didn’t report to the college on time.
- Students who cancelled their seats after the Phase I allotment round.
These candidates can register again and take part in the next phase of TS LAWCET 2026 counselling to try for a better option.
Important Instructions for Phase II
- Candidates joining the second round of TS LAWCET 2026 counselling must lock their college choices again as a fresh option entry, even if they already took part in Phase I.
- You can select colleges and courses even if no vacancy is displayed, as seats may become available later due to withdrawal or cancellation by other candidates.
- Those who confirmed their seat in the first round, reported to the college, and are satisfied with their allotment don’t need to attend the second round.
- If a candidate participates and confirms admission in the second phase, they will lose their claim over the seat allotted in Phase I.
- To cancel a seat allotted in the second phase, candidates must contact the principal of the allotted college only.

There are a total of 120 questions in the TS LAWCET question paper. Following is the segregation of marks for each section:
- General Knowledge & Mental Ability: 30 questions
- Current Affairs: 30 questions
- Aptitude for the Study of Law: 60 questions
The Aptitude for the Study of Law is the most important section of the TS LAWCET exam because majority of the questions are asked in this section and it carries a weightage of equal to 60 marks out 120 marks.
During the web-option exercise, candidates eligible to participate in the counselling and whose documents are verified will have to select the college of their preferences online. The list of colleges accepting the students for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-Year LLB is released by the TS LAWCET admission cell on the official website. The candidates can select atleast three colleges for their admission during the TS LAWCET web -option exercise.
TS LAWCET question paper will be set both in English and Telugu or English and Urdu. Candidates will be given option to choose the language as per their preferences. The Telangana LAWCET exam will comprise the questions majorly from three subjects namely GK & Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law.
The official TS LAWCET cutoff marks will not be available on a single webpage. This is because the cutoffs are determined for each counselling round and for each participating college and course. Thus, each college participating in TS LAWCET will release the cutoff marks on its official webiste.
However, you can find the TS LAWCET cutoff marks on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) after they declare the results at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The cutoffs are generally released separately for each round of counselling.
The TS LAWCET qualifying criteria refer to the category-wise minimum marks required to pass the exam. There are no qualifying marks for the SC and ST category candidates. However, General candidate need 35% marks.
