What is BCECE?
BCECE stands for Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. It is conducted by the BCECEB for admissions to Agriculture and Horticulture Science courses. The entrance exam is held in a pen-and-paper-based or offline mode. BCECE is held for 1 hour and 30 minutes or 90 minutes for each paper. There are separate question papers for BCECE, i.e. Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Agriculture. Each paper carries 100 questions. The total marks are 400. BCECE scores are also accepted for Nursing, Pharmacy and Paramedical courses. However, the pattern and syllabus vary. Those who will be opting for the Medical courses, have to opt for the PCB group.Â
The BCECE 2026 exam will be conducted in a window of two days and multiple slots. Candidates opting for multiple papers or subjects will have to appear for the exam in multiple slots. The course and institute allotment will be done during the counselling process. Only those candidates who will qualify for the exam by securing the pass marks will be eligible for the counselling or admission process.Â

BCECE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The board will release the BCECE eligibility criteria 2026 online. The eligibility criteria for AIIMS Paramedical will comprise of education qualification, domicile, and age. The eligibility criteria is a minimum condition to appear for the BCECE entrance exam. Those who fulfil all conditions can apply for the BCECE 2026 exam. BCECE eligibility criteria is mentioned below.
- Candidates should pass the Class 12 Board exam or equivalent examination.Â
- The candidates should have studied relevant science, mathematics, and agriculture subjects in Class 12 Board exam with a minimum 33 per cent in aggregate.Â

BCECE 2026 registration will commence in April 2026, tentatively. The authority will update the BCECE registration link on the website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. BCECE 2026 admit cards will be issued online at the official website in the fourth week of May 2026. Students need to visit the official website and click on the link indicating the BCECE Admit Card. After providing the login credentials, the admit card can be downloaded. It comprises information such as candidates' personal details, exam date and time, exam centre address, exam paper or subjects, exam day guidelines and instructions, etc. It is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre.Â

Candidates appearing for the entrance exam should be careful of a few things on the exam day.
- They should report at the exam centre as allotted to them at least an hour or 15 minutes before the exam timings as mentioned below.Â

- Candidates will not be allowed to carry any eatables inside the exam centre except for water, which may be allowed by the centre officialsÂ
- Candidates have to follow the instructions of the exam centre officials to avoid termination from the exam centreÂ
- In case of any discrepancy regarding the admit card or exam centre location, they must get it clarified by the exam authority at least five days before the exam date
- Candidates have to occupy the seat allotted to them carefully, or the seat number would go wrong in the attendance sheet, which may lead to candidature cancellation
- Candidates should avoid any kind of unfair exam practices, maintain discipline and silence inside the examination hall while taking the exam.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the scheduled time.
- Taking breaks during the test will not be allowed. Hence, they are suggested to take a bio-break before the exam begins.

The BCECE scores are accepted by the Agricultural and Medical institutes located in Bihar for multiple disciplines. The total number of institutes is approximately 90. Majority of the institutes accepting the scores of BCECE are for the Pharmacy, Paramedical and Nursing courses. For the Agricultural courses, around 35 colleges accept the scores of BCECE.
