UGC_NET_2021_Application_Process

National Testing Agency (NTA) closes the application process for UGC NET 2021 tomorrow on March 2, 2021. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply online by visiting the official website. In order to fill the UGC NET application form, candidates need to pay application fee online. The application fee is Rs 1000 for General category candidates, Rs 500 for OBC/EWS category and Rs 250 for SC, ST, PwD and Transgender categories.

The UGC NET 2021 exam will be held from May 2 to 17, 2021 to determine the eligiblity of candidates for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) posts. The exam will be conducted in a total of 81 subjects.

How to apply online for UGC NET 2021?

Candidates who fulfill the UGC NET eligibility criteria can apply online by following the given process

  • Visit the official website- ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on ‘Fill application form Dec 2020 (May 2021)’ link
  • Click on ‘New Registration’ link
  • Register by entering the required details
  • Fill the UGC NET application form
  • Upload scanned images of photo (10-200 kb) and signature (4-30 kb) in JPG/JPEG format
  • Pay application fee
  • Submit and download confirmation page

The NTA is expected to release the UGC NET notification in April 2026. It will be announced in the form of PDF at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The notification or information brochure consists the details about the exam including the registration form, exam duration, pattern, etc.

The NTA released the UGC NETadmit card 2025 for the December session exam. It was released on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The admit card is a mandatory document thata needs to be carried at the examination centre by the candidate.

The UGC NET December session exam was over on January 7. As per the students' feedback UGC NET January 2 Paper 1 was Moderate some felt that Assertion & Reasoning part was a bit difficult. Paper 1 was lengthy.
