 OUAT 2026 registration will commence by the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology in March 2026, tentatively. Students are advised to check the OUAT eligibility criteria 2026 before applying online.

The OUAT dates 2026 related to the OUAT Application process will be announced on the official site. The university will update the application form link on the website, ouat.ac.in. The application process is registration, form filling, exam fee payment and final submission. Those who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board can apply. 

The application form has two parts - A & B. In part A, students have to provide the basic information and then pay the application fee. In the second part, they need to provide their academic qualification. Registered students can appear for the OUAT entrance exam 2026.

OUAT Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

The exam conducting authority will provide the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria along with the release of the information bulletin or prospectus. The eligibility criteria are expected to be the same as last year. The basic criterion to be eligible for the OUAT 2026 Entrance Exam is that students should have passed Class 12 Board exam or equivalent in the Science stream. The aggregate percentage varies according to the candidate category.

The course-wise eligibility criteria or the subject combination which students should have studied in Class 11 and 12 are given in the table below.

The minimum qualification for admission to the above courses is given below.

  • Students from the Unreserved (UR) category must get at least 50per cent total marks in PCM, PCB, or PCMB. 

  • Students from Reserved categories must get at least 40per cent total marks.

  • Reserved categories include SC, ST, PWD, PMSSS, Kashmiri Migrant, Kashmiri Pandit (Non-Migrant), and Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrant).

For Agro‑Polytechnic students:

 

  • UR category students need at least 45 per cent total marks.

  • Reserved category Students need at least 40 per cent total marks.

Additional OUAT entrance exam BSc eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

  1. Cleared HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as Modern Indian Language (MIL).
  2. Students who do not have Odia as MIL but whose parents are permanent residents of Odisha need to furnish evidence of permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned, not below the rank of Tahasildar/District Magistrate/their employer concerned.
  3. Students who do not have Odia as MIL and their parents are also not permanent residents of Odisha, but are serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha. Such aspirants must furnish a certificate that assures the same from the Head of the Office/Institution where their parent(s) is/are working.
  4. Odia students permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate confirming their Odisha origin, either from their Employer/Tahasildar/District Magistrate (of the District in which they are residing). The certificate can also be submitted from the Tahasildar/ District Magistrate of their native place in Odisha.

The above criteria (that is, points 2 and 4) do not apply to ICAR/VCI nominees/Foreign Students/State Govt. sponsored Students/children of employees of OUAT.

Age Limit: The age of the applicants should not be less than 17 years as on the last day of the year.

How to Fill OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form 2026

The OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form 2026 has to be filled in the following manner.

  • Visit the OUAT website 
  • Click on the application form tab
  • Fill in the details
  • Upload the necessary documents, including photograph, signature and category documents
  • Pay the application fee of INR 2,000 in online mode

OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Application Form-A Details

The first phase of the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Form, or Form-A, has to be filled in the following manner. 

  • Visit the OUAT Entrance Exam website or directly enter the link - https://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in/
  • Click on the Login tab
  • Enter email ID, mobile number, OTPs and captcha
  • Click on the apply button of OUAT UG Admission 2026
  • OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Application Form-A will appear
  • Fill up the form with personal information, choice of exam city, upload full signature and passport-size colour photograph and other information
  • candidates have to select any three cities/ district in order of their preference. OUAT will try to allot city of examination in order of preference opted in Form-A. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city/ district of nearby area may be allotted. The decision of OUAT regarding the allotment of the Centre shall be final. 
  • Candidates should choose the optional subjects (Mathematics or Biology) carefully while submitting the Application Form–A. If a candidate chooses the incorrect optional subject, he or she can edit it till the last date of submission of the Application Form-A. No request to change the optional subjects after that will be considered. 
  • Applicants have to fill all star (*) marked fields or mandatory fields mentioned in Form-A. Otherwise, the form will not be submitted.
  • Candidates have to click on the self-declaration check box, accepting all the information submitted are true and will be responsible for any false or misleading information.
  • Before the final submission, they can preview the application and make necessary corrections.
  • Click on the Submit button at the bottom. A message of provisional submission of the Application Form-A with the application number will be sent to the candidates' registered mobile number and email address.
  • After submission of the application, the payment window will open for paying the application fee of INR 2,000.
  • After successful payment, the e-receipt will appear on the screen with print option. To download the Form-A, the candidate has to click on the back button, which will lead to the activity section where the download option for Form-A is available. The candidate must have a print out of Application Form – A and ensure correct entries. Form-A is editable till the last date of submission.

OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Application Form-B Details

Once the admit card for the OUAT entrance exam is generated, candidates need to fill out Form B for OUAT admissions. For this, candidates need to click on a link stating “Submission of Online Application Form-B for Admission in OUAT Admissions”. Further, candidates need to enter their OUAT entrance exam roll number, mobile number and date of birth to access the OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form-B.

OUAT Application Form-B opens with the prefilled information from Form-A. As part of Form-B for the examination, candidates need to fill in details such as academic qualifications, category and the like. Further, aspirants need to upload documents within 200 KB file size. The documents that need to be uploaded include:

  1. Mark sheet of Class 10
  2. Certificate of Class 10 standard showing date of birth.
  3. Mark sheet of Class 12 Science.
  4. Certificate of Class 12 Science.
  5. SC/ST/Green Card / Physically Handicapped certificate from the competent authority for the respective reserved category.
  6. Residential certificate (Except for candidates with Odia as a subject in class 10).
  7. Aadhaar Card.
  8. In case of NRI Candidates: Passport of the sponsor, Visa/Permanent residential certificate of sponsor and Residential proof of sponsor (electric bill, telephone bill, water bill, etc.).
  9. A certificate as proof of an OUAT employee from the Head of the Institution.
  10. Permanent Residential Certificate for Western Odisha.

"After successful submission of Form-B, a confirmation SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number and e-mail. The candidates are advised to take a printout of the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026 Application Form-B and should retain it for future action,” informs the OUAT official website.

While filling the OUAT Entrance Exam 2026, applicants have to upload documents or files in both Form-A and Form-B. Check the details of the documents to be uploaded on the application form, along with the format and file size.
