DU BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2026
DU BSc and BSc (H) courses are of three to four year duration. The UG level courses are divided into semester pattern. BSc and BSc (H) is available in nearly 10 and 19 specialisations, respectively. DU offer these course at over 50 colleges. DU BSc admission is done based on performance in the CUET exam. There is no limit to appearing for the exam till the students meets the CUET eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is that the student must be Class 12 or equivalent pass from a recognised board. There is no maximum or minimum age limit for the course admission.

No, Delhi University offers admission to the BSc programmes at its colleges based on CUET score only. There is no provision for direct admissions. Hence, aspirants must take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The national-level exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). It is conducted in different phases. Eligible students can apply on NTA website to take the test. Students seeking admission to DU colleges should select DU college plus preferred course at the time of registration.
After CUET result declaration, aspirants are required to register on DU CSAS portal. The course and college allotment process is done based on the preferences submitted by the students during the form filling. After final selections, students can pay the admission fee to confirm admission.

The students can get admission in BSc at DU colleges with a valid score of CUET-UG. Delhi University course admission starts with CUET registration, followed by result declaration, DU CSAS registration, college and course allotment, and fee payment. 2: Appear for the CUET exam

No, CUET application fee is similar as of previous year. The CUET registration fee is updated on release of the CUET notification. Earlier, CUET application fee was revised with the reduction on choice of subjects for CUET exam. NTA will commence CUET UG 2026 registrations at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can know the revised fee, exam pattern and important dates on CUET 2026 notification PDF.
At the undergraduate level, the University of Delhi offers BSc (Hons) across over 10 specialisations which offer merit-based admission to the students up until 2021. However, starting 2022, DU admission to all the UG courses are conducted via CUET UG. CUET-UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission to all undergraduate courses in various central universities, including the University of Delhi.
CUET scores are used for admission to both BSc (Hons) and BSc (General) programmes, weightage of which in the overall admission process varies as per the college and the course under DU. In addition to the CUET scores, DU colleges also consider other factors, such as the candidate's performance in Class 12 or equivalent exams, their extracurricular activities, and their interview performance.
DU University registrations via CUET usually begins in February every year. Soon after the release of the notification, the CUET application process commences online. Candidates willing to appear for CUET exam must ensure to fill out the application form online when released. Students can read about CUET UG application process and CUET PG application process to understand the procedure. Followed by the application forms of CUET UG and CUET PG, DU starts the DU CSAS registration for final college and course allotment of students who qualify the exams. The process will began after the release of CUET-UG and CUET-PG results which are expected to release in July.

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:
- Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
- The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
- The difficulty level of the CUET exam
- Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)
CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:
100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.
