Q:   What is DU CUET UG Counselling process?
    A:

Before the CUET counselling process for DU will even begin, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard.

Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.

    • The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
    • If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
    • Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
    • Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
    • If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.

On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.

Q:   How is CUET UG cut off calculated?
    2thumbs up
    A:

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:

    • Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
    • The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
    • The difficulty level of the CUET exam
    • Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)

CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:

100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.

Q:   Can I get admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi in B.Sc. if my rank is between 140000 and 145000?
    A:

For last year, the closing rank for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing was 142877 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi.

Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

One of the best off-campus colleges especially for the Science stream.
Placements: There are a few placements that I'm aware of. The placement drive happens through the society called the Placement and Internship Cell. Many well-known companies participated in it and the students were well prepared for it. For my course specifically there are very few opportunities but for B.Com, etc., there are lots of opportunities.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Infrastructure is also good. I think this is one of the best off-campus colleges. There are no hostels. The library is good with different sections for everybody. Computers are there. AC is there. Food is cheap in the canteen. Overall everything is Excellent. The printing shop is there too. Bru is also there. Epicuria is near the college where students go to relax.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. Teaching quality is above expectations. There are lots of competitions and webinars happening. Alumni also interact regularly and guide us. Lots of courses are started too which make us ready for the outside world and provide practical knowledge. Teachers are well educated, too.
Other: The campus crowd could be better and there is not much connectivity. The campus surroundings are not safe for girls especially the Pink Line metro side. They take us out for field trips too.

Good infrastructure, away from Delhi's crowd and pollution, with the best faculty members.
Placements: Roughly 30% to 40% of B.Sc. Maths Honors students get placed. The highest package of my course is around 10–12 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte and KPMG. 50% to 60% of students intern at companies like Deloitte and DeltaX. The top roles offered in my college are Data Analyst, Software Engineer, and Finance Analyst.
Infrastructure: Shaheed Bhagat College has good infrastructure, and the college is trying to improve it further. Some blocks are under construction, but the college has best reading hall and library. The college has very good classrooms, but classrooms provided to Maths students are quite old. Overall, the infrastructure is very good, with excellent labs. The canteen is also very good, offering good food quality with many options at very affordable rates. Medical facilities are very good. Sports facilities have improved a lot, and they are still trying to improve them further.
Faculty: Shaheed Bhagat Singh College has very good staff. They have highly qualified degrees from institutes like IITs and IIMs. Teaching quality is very nice. According to me, it improves your thinking and how deeply you can think. It helps you choose the right things in your daily life easily. It also makes your calculations very good. It is beneficial for students entering the industry because of its focus on calculations and calm, deep thinking. Semester exams are not that hard if you study. In my batch, almost 95 to 100% of students pass all the semester exams.
Other: I chose Mathematics Honours because I have a Maths background and I like solving Maths problems. The best thing about my college is the faculty, and labs for the Mathematics department are the best. There is nothing much to improve in my course because they already provide us with the best faculty, professors, and computer labs. College policies do not allow inviting celebrities to events. The campus crowd is very good. They also provide scholarships to students who cannot afford the fees. My college is also very good for extracurricular activities.

Good exposure to social life and a decent environment to study.
Placements: I'm enrolled in B.Sc. (hons) Chemistry and there are 26 students in my class. The package may vary from 3 LPA to 10 LPA in my course. Indian and foreign companies recruit students. Students can get internships depending on their academic performance in emerging companies as well as well-established ones. The top roles offered in my course are lab technician, scientist, forensic scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The labs are very efficient, the classrooms are decent, and the library is good. Our college doesn't provide hostel services but the canteen has good medical facilities. They have a dispensary attached to the college itself and sports are also good. They almost got all the sports equipment to play.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. The quality of teaching is decent, they teach very well, and you can ask doubts anytime. The curriculum lacks in making the student industry-ready as it should be helpful to give industry exposure through field visits. Semester exams are decent it requires 40 percent to pass.
Other: I chose this course because it was my interest. The best thing about the course is the lab experiments. It would be better if the staff were more friendly. Events and fests are very great.

It has good faculty, teachers, and good campus vibes.
Placements: Placement in this college is average. We can apply for off-campus placements and internships. Top recruiting companies for our course are HCL, Money Bazaar, and other big companies. The highest package is around 8 LPA, as it is a Bachelor of Science college, and it is mainly a research college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like good classrooms with AC, a canteen, a friendly environment, greenery, a sports ground, stationery shops, a juice centre, a reading hall, and an advanced library. It also has clean washrooms, well-maintained labs, a basketball area, a volleyball court, and a sports room. The campus is Wi-Fi-enabled.
Faculty: There are experienced faculty members. Most of them are IIT degree holders. There is a learning environment. The pass percentage is around 90-95%. It has very good courses, which are especially helpful if we are interested in this field. The course is research-oriented. Exams are moderate to hard.

Tremendously beautiful, nice exposure, beautiful infrastructure, and good placement and faculty.
Placements: The highest package from my batch is around 13.8 LPA. The lowest package may be around 3 LPA. The average package was 8-9 LPA. The 10% of the students got an order, and the others got government. Job. The rest went for further studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Miranda house is so aesthetic & beautiful. Wi-Fi is provided. AC labs with all facilities. The library is very peaceful, and all books are provided. You must try the PAM Cafe's burger. The hostel is very beautiful. Privacy is top-notch.
Faculty: Miranda's teacher was very helpful. You can approach them anytime. All teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are moderate. There is not much pressure from exams.
Other: I opted for this course to keep Maths as an optional in UPSC, and this course helps a lot. The crowd in Miranda is super cool. The infrastructure is tremendously beautiful. Yup, you go there, and please give Pam Burger a try. It's very delicious. Events are kept happening. And the annual fest tempest is very entertaining.

Really good infrastructure and good for academics.
Placements: Placement is not guaranteed for B.Sc. Hons Mathematics, but the placement for BMS and some other commerce courses like B.Com is generally good from the college. However, if you are from any other course, you have to hustle on your own to get placed for jobs or internships. The professors are quite good at teaching, so you can also prefer further studies.
Infrastructure: This college has one of the best infrastructure in University of Delhi. Infrastructure is very good. All classes have well-equipped tools, AC, and good seating. Library itself has three floors. It is air-conditioned. It has a lot of space and many books. Currently, I am in the hostel. The hostel is also very good. All rooms are AC rooms. Students live in sharing. One room is given to two persons. The only issue is that the food is not that good. The price is also very high.
Faculty: Faculty is very good. Some teachers are a bit behind, but most of them are very educated. They teach very well. So if you are coming here to study, there will be no problem for you. Faculty is friendly and well-educated in their field. Curriculum is also not that much hard. It can be managed. Exams are conducted in a very good way.
Other: Overall, the college is good. You can experience a good college life. Fests help you make new friends. The only drawback is that it is off-campus, so it is away from other colleges. The campus area is not that big. It has some sports facilities, but the gym is very bad. There is no basketball court. However, it has table tennis, badminton courts, and a volleyball court. So, you can come to the college.
