BHU BTech course of UG level is four-year long. The mode of study is full-time. Candidates wanting to apply for BHU BTech course admission need to take the CUET exam. Banaras Hindu University BTech is offered in different specialisations. It is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. BHU BTech admission is done as per CUET exam scores. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can go to the CUET website to apply.
The total tuition fees for BTech is INR 3.2 lakh - INR 8 lakh at BHU. The total fee includes tuition fee, hostel fee, security deposit, registration fee, etc. Aspirants must pay the course fees to confirm their seat.

Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. BHU BTech Admission Dates 2025
Since last year, the university has been selecting candidates to the UG course based on merit in CUET-UG. Thus, the students should stay updated with the CUET-UG dates for BHU. No, BHU Counselling process 2026 for admissions through CUET UG 2026 has not started yet. The university is expected to start the CAP UG registration process in the third week of July. Seat allotment through CAP UG 2026 will tentatively start during the second week of August.
BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. Any caste, region, religion students can apply for admission to various courses at BHU. Any caste student must fulfill the eligibility criteria and take admission. Banaras Hindu University is one of the oldest universities. It should be a good opportunity to study here. BTech CSE course is available on the university main campus. The Computer Science Engineering is one of the popular specialisations. Students from this branch get the best salary package most of the times.
Candidates need to upload scanned copies of a few documents during the registration procedure. The documents must be in PDF / JPEG format. Below is the list of documents.

BHU has a dediacted placement cell which invites prominent companies for the placement drives. During the Banaras Hindu University 2025 placement drive, more than 65 companies participated. Whether you can get BHU for the BAMS course based on the AYUSH results would depend entirely on the category you belong to. For the General and OBC AI categories, the last round cutoff was 30748 and 32844, respectively. Hence, admissions with a rank of 70K are not possible for these categories.
On the other hand, for the SC AI category, the last round cutoff was 148564. There admissions could be possible with a rank of 70K.
Candidates may not be allowed to apply for another course at BHU in the next year. Aspirants may not be allowed to pursue two degree courses at the same time. Banaras Hindu University can be reached via air, rail, or road transport. The airport the nearest to BHU is Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. It is around 30 KMs away from the campus.
There are three main railway stations in Varanasi, namely Varanasi Junction (Varanasi Cantt.), Banaras Station, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction. Banaras Station is the closest to BHU.
