BHU BTech course of UG level is four-year long. The mode of study is full-time. Candidates wanting to apply for BHU BTech course admission need to take the CUET exam. The shortlisted students then have to take part in counselling for seat allotment. Students who meet the below criteria can apply for BTech at Banaras Hindu University:

BHU cutoff 2025 was released for multiple specialisations. Based on the last round cutoff, the closing ranks varied between 1489 and 14447 for the General AI quota. So, if you belong to the General category, you must target a JEE Advanced cutoff rank of up to 14447 or below to secure a seat at IIT BHU for BTech admission. For top branches like CSE and Mathematics and Computing, the maximum required cutoff ranks for admission were 1489 and 1924 in the last round.

BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.

BHU BTech Admission Dates 2026
Since last year, the university has been selecting candidates to the UG course based on merit in CUET-UG. Thus, the students should stay updated with the CUET-UG dates for BHU. 1: BHU BTech Application Process
The applications are accepted in online mode by the university. Students should fill all the details carefully. The application fee of INR 650 (General/ OBC Category)/ INR 550 (SC/ST Category) also has to be paid. The application process consists of the following steps:
- Go to the website of CUET-UG and click on the 'New Registration' tab.
- Fill the application form.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature.
- Select courses and Universities as per your preference and pay the application fee.
2: Selection Process
Candidates are shortlisted by the university based on CUET scores. Shortlisted students have to go through a counselling round for seat allotment.
3: Admission Confirmation
The students who get selected need to submit important documents and pay the course fee. Fee payment is necessary for seat confirmation. BHU BTech tuition fee ranges from INR 3.2L to INR 8L. This fee is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and, hence, is indicative.

Yes, Banaras Hindu University accept CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Banaras Hindu University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. Whether you can get BHU for the BAMS course based on the AYUSH results would depend entirely on the category you belong to. For the General and OBC AI categories, the last round cutoff was 30748 and 32844, respectively. Hence, admissions with a rank of 70K are not possible for these categories.
On the other hand, for the SC AI category, the last round cutoff was 148564. There admissions could be possible with a rank of 70K.
CUET score required for BHU admission depends on the candidate's selected course and reservation category. As per the CUET cut-off 2025, the closing CUET UG score for admission to most courses ranged from 500 to 600 for the General AI category. For some courses, such as BSc Computer Science & BSc Mathematics with Statistics, the closing score was between 400 and 500 for the General AI category. Cut-off scores for reserved categories like OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS are usually 15-20% lower than the General AI category.

NEET PG 2025 cut off has been reduced in comparision to last few year cut off. The cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam in that particular caregory. BTech is a four-year course, which is spread across eight semesters. In the first year of the course, students are taught basic Science subjects, such as Physics, Mathematics, etc. From the second year, the subjects are more specialisation-specific. Fresh applications for Class 9 to 12 can be submitted until 21 September 2026. Renewal applications for the same classes close earlier, on 25 August 2026. Dashmottar students have separate deadlines in October 2026.
