IIT Delhi Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Selection

As per the QS World University Rankings, IIT Delhi is the third best institute in India and 174th globally. Presently, IIT Delhi is offering 7 Certificate courses namely Digital Marketing, Data Science, Human Resource Management, Business Management, Design Thinking & Innovation, Industrial Design, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Project Management. The college offers courses at the UG and PG levels across the Design, Management, Engineering, and several other streams. At the UG level, IIT Delhi offers B.Tech, B. Yes, IIT Delhi accepts GATE/CEED/UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICMR entrance exam scores for admission to different specialisations offered under the IIT Delhi PhD programme. Candidates shortlisted based on the exam score can be called for an interview round by some of the departments. The accepted exam can vary depending upon the chosen PhD specialisation. 

There are a total of five specialisations offered for the MBA programme at DMS IIT Delhi. The specialisations include Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management and Operations Management. As per unofficial sources, there are 91 seats allotted to the MBA General programme. Admission to this programme is entrance-based, DMS IIT Delhi accepts admission to MBA courses through a valid CAT entrance exam score. Candidates must keep an eye on CAT admit card release dates, attempt as many CAT question papers as possible, and follow the CAT preparation guidelines.

The seat allotment procedure at IIT Delhi for BTech programmes is carried out through JoSAA counselling. Candidates who meet the JEE advanced cutoff become eligible for participation in the counselling. For the same, aspirants need to visit the official website of the counselling body to register. During counselling, the documents are verified and seats are allotted as per the cutoff and category of the candidate. Further, students can report at the institute and pay the admission fee for seat confirmation.

DMS, IIT Delhi accept MBA applications via online mode. Aspirants fulfilling the eligibility criteria and having a valid CAT score shall apply. Further, the steps to be followed for online application form filling are:

Step 1: Visit the DMS IIT Delhi official website by clicking on the ‘Admission tab’ in the menu bar.

Step 2: Select the course and fill out the application form with the valid CAT/GATE/CSIR/UGC NET/ICAR/ICMR score.

Step 3: Payment of the application fees through a credit card/debit card or net banking.

NOTE: The admission application processing fee for MBA is non-refundable.
