A range of entrance exam results are accepted by the SRM Institute of Hotel Management (SRM IHM) for admission to its undergraduate and graduate programs. The exact entrance exam that each programme requires to be admitted will differ from programme to program. Undergraduate programs like B.Sc. in Hotel Management, B.Sc in Culinary Science, B.Sc. in Hospitality Studies, B.Sc in Travel and Tourism Management, and B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration consider the NCHMCT JEE exams.

For Postgraduate Programs like M.Sc. in Hospitality Management, M.Sc. in Culinary Arts, and MBA in Hospitality Management often consider the scores of CAT, MAT, XAT, and TANCET. As per SRM University Chennai cutoff 2024, the last-round closing rank was 195886 for admission to the MBBS course. The Round 1 closing rank for the same stood at 637582 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.
