NIOS 12th Eligibility

To appear for the NIOS 12th examinations 2026, the learners should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• The student should be at least 15 years old to apply for NIOS 12^th admission 2025-26.
• The learner should have passed the secondary (10^th) exams successfully
• The learner should be enrolled with NIOS
• The learner should be able to produce a Secondary class pass certificate from NIOS/recognised Board along with address proof and two latest passport-size photographs

 The NIOS 12th Admit Card for practical exam is released online. NIOS will release the NIOS 12th hall ticket for theory exam 2026 on the official website. All the students appearing for the NIOS 12th examinations must visit the official website of NIOS to download the NIOS hall ticket 2026.

1. Open the official website of NIOS at sdmis.nios.ac.in/search/hall-ticket.
2. Enter  the enrolment number.
3. Select Hall ticket for Theory examination.
4. Click on ‘Submit’.

About NIOS 12th 

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) conducts NIOS Class 12th examinations twice a year, in March-April and October. 

The admissions for Block-I usually start during mid-March and continue until the mid of September for the March-April examinations, while for the October examinations, the admissions commence from the very next day the Block-I admission concludes, i.e, mid of September until the mid of March of the following year.

  Conditions: Secondary: Must have passed Hindi, English (compulsory) and Math, Social Science, Science and optional subjects that a student has taken.
  Senior Secondary: Pass all subjects which are according to Board Syllabus, i.e. Hindi, English (compulsory) and any three other subjects that the student has taken.

HIMACHAL PRADESH

• HP Board of Secondary Education
  Conditions: Provided Secondary students have offered any four subjects out of English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science and any one subject out of (a) Sanskrit/Urdu/Tamil/Telugu (b) one elective subject, and Senior Secondary Students have offered English plus three electives, to be chosen from one of the following; (a) Humanities; (b) Science; (c) Commerce.

WEST BENGAL

  Condition: Compulsory subjects in the examination similar to those in the Madhyamik Examination under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and cleared the compulsory and minimum number of Elective subjects as stipulated for the Higher Secondary Examination under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination.
