The exam pattern of Goa board HSSC exams comprises details about the question paper such as type of questions, sections in the paper, distribution of marks, etc. GBSHSE exam pattern is different for the various papers that are covered in the exam. For subjects with practicals such as Biology, Chemistry, Geography and so on. 30 marks are allotted to the practical marks while 70 marks are fixed for the theory paper. The tentative Goa HSSC time table 2026 was out in June 2025. Board exams will be conducted from February 10 to 27, 2026.

Goa Board HSSC Passing Criteria 2026
Students must score at least 33% to clear the board exam as per the Goa board HSSC exam pattern 2026. The aggregate marks scored by the student must also be 33%. Students must score at least 28 out of 80 in the theory part. They must score at least 7 marks in practical exams.

In an official notification dated 13/03/2023, Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education announced that there will be no term wise exam from the academic year 2023- 24. There will be only one exam held in April/March. The Goa HSSC termwise exams will be discontinued from 2023-24. During the pandemic, many state boards have followed term wise exam patterns. In 2022-23 most of the boards discontinued the term wise exam except Himachal Pradesh, Goa etc.
