BITSAT 2026 May 26 paper shift-wise analysis, question paper solutions OUT: Birla Institute of Technology and Science completed conducting Day 2 of BITSAT 2026 exam. Based on student's reaction, the BITSAT May 26 shift 1 paper was overall moderate to tough with tricky and confusing questions, following the same pattern of day 1 paper. BITSAT 2026 exam for May 26 was conducted in two sessions. The morning and evening shift exam is now completed. Students have stated that BITSAT 2026 May 26 shift 1 paper was overall moderate. However, the paper was comparatively easier than BITSAT May 25 question paper. 

While BITSAT 2026 May 26 shift 2 paper was moderate. Candidates can check detailed paper analysis below. The BITSAT exam timings for slot 2 was 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Students had to carry valid ID proof, a pen for signing and rough work along with BITSAT admit card 2026. How to calculate BITSAT 2026 scores using memory-based answer key?

To calculate probable scores in BITSAT 2026, candidates need to be aware of the marking scheme. Once the memory-based BITSAT May 26 question paper answer key is available, use the following format to calculate -

  • Add 3 marks for correct answer

  • -1 mark for incorrect answer. 

Students must note that the total mark in BITSAT exam is 390 marks, and there is no partial marking. However, students can attempt an additional 12 optional bonus questions, raising the maximum total score to 426 marks in the exam.

Q:   How are the BITSAT additional questions divided?
A: 

Students will be given 12 additional questions if they finish all 130 questions within 3 hours. Three questions will be available from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and Logical Reasoning. Students will not be able to go back to previously answered 130 questions, once they start solving additional questions.

Q:   Is extra time given for the 12 BITSAT additional questions?
A: 

Students will not be given any extra time to complete 12 additional questions in BITSAT paper. Additional questions have to be solved within 3 hours. These will only be provided if students complete 130 original questions before exam ends.

Q:   How many questions will be present in the BITSAT paper?
A: 

In BITSAT, students have to answer 130 objective questions. Each question will have four options. Correct one has to be selected. If all questions are finished before time, then additional 12 questions will be given to students to solve for extra marks.

Q:   What is the division of questions in BITSAT pattern?
A: 

The BITSAT question paper is divided into four section. For the Mathematics/Biology section, there will be 40 questions. Physics and Chemistry will have 30 questions in each section. Logical Reasoning will have 20 and English Proficiency will have 10 questions. There will 130 questions in the question paper.

To get admission to the BE course at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, students are required to appear in BITSAT. As per previous years' cutoff stats, it has been analysed that the minimum scores are between 230 and 250. But with 250 marks, the chances are less of getting selected.
