How to Calculate Marks Using JEE Advanced 2025 Answer Key by Aakash?
To check scores using the JEE Advanced answer key, candidates must follow the exam's marking scheme. The marking scheme of the exam is displayed on the JEE Advanced online question paper.
The broad types of questions that are asked in JEE Advanced are:
- Single correct
- Multiple correct
- Numerical type
- Paragraph type
- Matrix match type
- Question stem (Paragraph type question with answer in numerical form)
There are questions of 1 mark, 2 marks, 3 marks and 4 marks. There are also questions with negative markings of -1, -2, etc. Candidates must read the instructions on the question paper properly regarding the marking scheme.

Official JEE Advanced Answer Key 2025
The official JEE Advanced answer keys are made available on the official website a few days after the exam ends. The candidates can check and download the official JEE Advanced answer keys PDFs to know their expected scores in the exam before the result is out.
JEE Advanced 2025 Result
The conducting IIT of JEE Advanced 2026 will release the JEE Advanced result on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Initially, the JEE Advanced result will be displayed on the website that will have the candidates' marks in each subject of paper 1 & 2, the total marks, All India Rank (AIR), and the qualifying status. Later on, the JEE Advanced scorecard PDF will be uploaded on the official website.

No login details are needed to check the JEE Advanced answer key as the answer keys are not released under the candidate login. Candidates can find the JEE Advanced 2026 paper 1 and paper 2 answer keys at jeeadv.ac.in as PDF files.
Yes candidates can challenge the JEE Advanced provisional answer key. The challenge facility is provided for one day under the login of the candidates. For each question challenged candidate have to pay a fee. If the challenges are accepted and found valid a revised answer key is released with result. That will be the final answer key and cannot be challenged further.
The JEE Advanced answer key challenge window will open in May 2026 after the provisional keys are released. Candidates will get a one day period to challenge the keys.

No, candidates can not raise objections in JEE Adv result. The facility to raise objection is provided only in the answer key. It is clearly mentioned in the IIT JEE advanced 2026 information brochure that any request to re-evaluate in result will not be entertained under any circumstances.

The number of questions in each subjects are generally not same, but the total number of questions mostly ranges from 17 to 18 across all three subjects in both Paper 1 and 2. No, same questions never get repeated in IIT JEE exam. However, questions with similar concepts can find places in the exam. The question paper of JEE Advanced is prepared considering the syllabus and exam pattern.

You will not be eligible for admission as preparatory ranks are not considered under round 1. Since you have already qualified to appear for JEE (Advanced), all you need to do is meet the second criterion and apply for round 2, which will be only conducted if seats from round 1 remain vacant.

Yes, you can still get admission in Round 2 if you meet eligibility criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) and have a valid JEE (Mains) rank. Also, you must have scored 60% or above in class 12th. For SC/ST/PwD category students, 55% or above is required.

No, candidates need not pay any fees to participate in JEE Adv counselling. However, once the seat is allotted, candidates will need to pay approximately INR 35,000 (less for reserved category) as a seat acceptance fee and around INR 20,000 as partial admission fees. NO. The JEE Advanced final answer key cannot be challenged. The final answer key is released after the challenges against the provisional answer key is processed. The marks of the candidates for JEE Advanced result will be prepared based on the correct answers in the final answer keys.
