National Testing Agency (NTA) had announced JEE Main 2021 February result for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) on March 8. There are a total of six toppers in JEE Main February session who secured the perfect 100 percentile. Shiksha.com got exclusive with Ranjim, a JEE Main 2021 topper with 100 percentile from Delhi where he shared the plans ahead for further studies. He also spoke about his JEE Main 2021 success story with some important tips and tricks for future JEE Main aspirants. Read below to know how Ranjim Prabal scored 100 percentile in JEE Main 2021.
Q. How are you feeling to be one of the top scorers of JEE Main 2021 February exam? Was JEE Main 2021 your first attempt?
A. I am very happy about my JEE Main 2021 result. This was unexpected but I am satisfied with the scores. Yes, this is my first attempt in JEE Main.

Q. What is the name of your School?
A. I did my schooling at St. Gregorios High School.
Q. Since when did you start studying for JEE Main 2021 exam? How much time did you spend for JEE Main exam?
A. I started studying for the JEE Main 2021 exam from class 11 onwards. I spent almost 8 hours on JEE Main 2021 preparation. I also took college tutorial classes seriously.
Q. Did you join any coaching institute? If yes, from which class?
A. Yes, I joined Akash Institute for coaching from class 8 onwards.
Q. What was your JEE Main preparation strategy? Which subject did you focus on more and why?
A. I first made sure that I was perfect with the basics in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and followed NCERT thoroughly. But reading and referring to NCERT is not enough for JEE Main exam. I found Physics to be easier than Chemistry and Mathematics. I focused on weak points and then moved to easier topics.
Q: Which books did you refer to while preparing for JEE Main 2021 exam?
A. I would suggest the following books:
- Physics – HC Verma and I.E Irodov
- Mathematics – Ghanshyam Tiwari
- Chemistry – MS Chauhan, Neeraj Kumar
Besides this attend all the classes and take help from teachers for any guidance in JEE Main preparation. Also, follow NCERT class XI and XII books for each subject preparation
Q. What is your future plan?
A. I am preparing to appear in JEE Advanced and my future plan is to pursue Computer Science Engineering from IIT Delhi. I I love programming and I draw my inspiration from Elon Musk.
Q. What will be your message to future JEE aspirants?
A. All the candidates who are appearing for JEE Main must make sure that they should know how to manage time which is the most important thing. They should not stress out and focus on their studies only. If in the first attempt they did not get any good score, it is totally fine. They can try again and give their best shot next time.
