JoSAA 2024 Civil Engineering Cutoff for NITs: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released JoSAA 2024 seat allotment results and opening and closing ranks for round 5. The round 5 JoSAA 2024 cutoff for NITs for the civil engineering course can be checked below. Candidates can check cutoffs after each JoSAA seat allotment round here. NIT cut-off 2024 for civil engineering is the rank after which an institute allows no seat allotment to students in that particular round. There are 24,229 across all NITs this year and 14,15,110 candidates who took the JEE Main 2024 exam this year will participate in the JoSAA counselling. These candidates will be allotted seats across 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IEST, 26 IIITs, and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).

JoSAA 2024
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate joint seat allocation for admissions to over 100 institutes, including NITs, NITs, NITs, and other government technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admissions to all these institutes will be done through a single platform. The idea behind introducing a single counselling platform is to reduce thousands of seats going vacant in engineering colleges across the country. The Joint seat allocation process is introduced to make the whole process of admissions smoother, more effective, efficient, transparent, and a lot faster.

No, JoSAA counselling is not required for the students who want to take admission on the basis of entrance in BTech at Army Institute of Technology, Pune. Only entrance scores are considered at the time of admission. Students need to submit JEE Mains scorecard at the time of admission.

Yes, students may get a seat in NIT Puducherry BTech with 92 percentile in JEE Main through JoSAA counselling. The cutoff is high for specialisations, such as CSE. With NITPY being one of the top institutes and part of the NIT Tag, the cutoff is always high. But 92 percentile can be enough for later

The NIT Srinagar BTech seat allotment is first done through the JoSAA counseling. The allotment of seats is based on a candidate's JEE Mains score. However, if after the seat allotment, there are still some vacant seats for the BTech course, they are filled through the CSAB counseling.
