MHT CET 2021 Syllabus: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the MHT CET 2021 syllabus and exam pattern. Read below to know the details.

MHT CET 2021 syllabus & exam pattern: Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the syllabus and exam pattern for the MHT CET 2021 exam. The entrance exam is conducted every year for two groups: Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).

MHT CET 2021 will be conducted online with questions based on the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education syllabus for Class 11 and 12. The MHT CET 2021 syllabus will exclude the topics which are deleted by the Maharashtra Rajya Pathyapustak Nirmiti and Abhyaskram Sanshodhan Mandal for HSC examination due to COVID-19 pandemic situation. Physics

Motion in a plane, Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Thermal properties of matter, Sound, Optics, Electrostatics, Semiconductors

Chemistry

Some basic concepts of chemistry, structure of atom, Chemical Bonding, Redox Reactions, Elements of group 1 and 2, States of Matter (Gaseous and Liquids), Adsorption and colloids (Surface Chemistry), Hydrocarbons, basic Principles of organic chemistry

Mathematics

Trigonometry, Straight Line, Circle, Measures of Dispersion, Probability, Complex Numbers, Permutations and Combinations, Functions, Limits, Continuity

Biology

Biomolecules, Respiration and Energy Transfer, Human Nutrition, Excretion and Osmoregulation

As per the MHT CET 2021 exam pattern, 20 per cent weightage will be given to Class 11 syllabus and the remaining 80 per cent to Class 12 syllabus of Maharashtra board. There is no provision for negative marking and the difficulty level of MHT CET 2021 will be comparable to that of JEE Main and NEET.

MHT CET 2021 will consist of three question papers with multiple choice questions. Each paper will be of 100 marks. The duration to solve each paper (Mathematics, Chemistry & Physics, and Biology) will be 90 minutes.

MHT CET 2026 scores are used for Maharashtra State Quota admissions. For All India seats in engineering colleges of Maharashtra, JEE Main scores will be used.

MHT CET cutoff is of two types- All India Category and Maharashtra Category. The seats which are allotted under the All India Quota have opening and closing ranks mentioned as "AI" whereas seats allotted under Maharashtra Quota have the ranks mentioned as "MH".
