WBJEE 2025 seat allotment result for Round 2 has been declared online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Candidates have been allotted as per their obtained WBJEE 2025 rank, preferences, category and seat availability. Allotted candidates have to confirm their admission before the final date. During round 2 of WBJEE seat allotment 2025, upgradation is possible. JEE Main candidates are eligible for 10% of the approved seats in the self-financing colleges. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) have announced the WBJEE seat allotment 2025 result for Round 2 online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. To check their seat allotment status, the roll number and password has to be used. Both JEE Main and WBJEE qualified candidates are eligible for allotment through WBJEE 2025 counselling. However, only 10% of the approved seats in the self-financing colleges are open for JEE Main qualified candidates.

The authorities allot seats based on the candidate’s rank, preferences, category and seat availability. Once allotted, the candidates will have to pay the required WBJEE 2025 seat acceptance fee for admission confirmation. WBJEE 2025 seat allotment result for the first round was released on September 3, 2025.

Q:   Is WBJEE held in other states?
A:

WBJEE is mostly held in 47 examination zones in the various cities of West Bengal. However, the exam is also conducted in Assam (Silchar) and Tripura (Agartala). For the exam, the students will have to fill out three zones as per the preference.

Q:   Where can I check the WBJEE dates?
A:

WBJEE 2026 dates will be announced online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Students are advised to stay updated with the official dates so that they do not miss any important event in the admission process. All deadlines have to be met to be participate in the examination and admission events.

Q:   Which documents have to be presented at the WBJEE exam centre?
A:

At WBJEE exam centre, students will have to bring a print out of their admit card and one original valid identity proof. If students do not have these documents with them at centre, then they will not be allowed to enter and attempt examination.

Steps to check the WBJEE 2025 seat allotment result

Candidates can follow the given steps to check the seat allotment of WBJEE 2025.

  • Go to wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee
  • Click on the seat allotment link.
  • Candidates will have to log in using their roll number and password.
  • Once logged in, the candidates will be able to check their seat allotment status.
  • To download the WBJEE 2025 seat allotment order, the candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee (refundable) of INR 5000, online, i.e., through net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI. Failure to make the payment will lead to the candidate’s allotment cancellation, and they will not be eligible for the second round (upgradation).

What after the WBJEE seat allotment 2025?

After the allotment, the candidates have to pay their WBJEE 2025 seat acceptance fee and download the allotment letter. They will have to report to their respective institute for admission confirmation. It is to be noted that the candidates will have to personally report to the institute within the allotted date. The required list of documents has to be presented for verification. If the candidates fail to verify their documents, then their allotment will be cancelled.

WBJEE 2025 Seat Allotment: List of documents for verification

Candidates will have to carry the following documents in original and one self-attested copy of each.

  • All candidates – 10th standard admit card/birth certificate for verification of date of birth.
  • All candidates – 10th standard mark sheet
  • All candidates – 12th standard mark sheet
  • OCI candidates – OCI certificate
  • WB domiciled candidates – Domicile certificate
  • SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS candidates – Respective category certificates
  • PwD candidates – PwD certificate
  • TFW candidates – TFW candidates

WBJEE 2025 Counselling Round 2 (Upgradation) Eligibility:

For the second round of WBJEE counselling 2025, the candidates should have successfully registered for the Round 1 counselling and have tot meet the following criteria.

  • Candidates who were not allotted in Round 1 counselling.
  • Those candidates who paid the seat acceptance fee, completed document verification and opted for YES-upgradation in Round 1.
  • Candidates who paid the seat acceptance fee, completed document verification, but allotment in Round 1 was cancelled, due to various reasons other than academic eligibility.

WBJEE 2025 Seat Allotment: Upgradation (Round 2)

The authorities have announced the WBJEE 2025 seat allotment result for Round 2. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment status online. If the candidate’s seat has been upgraded, then their earlier allotment will be cancelled. However, if the seat is not upgraded, then the earlier seat will remain reserved/retained for the candidate.

If the candidates have been upgraded to their preferred choices, then they will not be required to pay the seat acceptance fee again. However, the new allotment order has to be downloaded, and the required admission formalities have to be completed. Freshly allotted candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee and report for document verification.

Q:   Which details can be corrected through the WBJEE correction facility?
A:

Through the WBJEE correction facility, the students will not be able to correct all information that have been submitted in the application form. Some of the information that will be open for editing/correct are the reservation category, income details, religion, nationality, Aadhaar number, photograph, etc.

Q:   What is the WBJEE exam date?
A:

The official WBJEE 2026 exam date has not been announced yet. However, it is expected to be held in the fourth week of April 2026. The authorities will announce the official dates online. Students are advised to refer to the WBJEE dates so that they do not miss any important event.

Q:   How can I select my preferred exam centres for WBJEE?
A:

Students can choose their exam centres while filling the WBJEE application form. During the application process, the students will have to choose three exam cities according to their preference. The selection has to be done carefully as it will be considered for centre allotment.

WBJEE 2025 Seat Allotment: Fee Refund and Withdrawals

  • If a candidate wishes not to join their allotted institute, then they can ask the institute to cancel the admission and give a refund. However, it will not be under the responsibility of WBJEEB.
  • Candidates who have paid the seat acceptance fee and currently hold a seat will be able to withdraw during the seat acceptance period of Round 2. In case of admission withdrawal, the candidates will be eligible for a full refund, which will be processed through online banking within 60-90 days after all counselling rounds end.
  • A refund will also be possible for the candidates who have paid the seat acceptance fee but do not complete admission or withdrawal.

WBJEE cutoff will vary for the different colleges, courses and categories. Reserved category students are expected to have a lower cutoff than General students. Likewise, popular colleges and courses will have higher cutoffs due to the number of students applying for admission.

No, the students who meet the WBJEE cutoff will not be guaranteed admission. However, they will have higher chances of admission into their preferences. Since other factors will also be considered for allotment, the cutoff cannot be used as a guarantee for admission.
