The admit card of NTA JEE Mains has four pages. These pages have details of the NTA JEE schedule 2026, exam date and time, reporting time, address of the exam centre, photo and signature of the candidate, paper for which they are appearing, and instructions to be followed by candidates at the exam centre.

Filling Self Declaration Form on JEE Main Admit Card

Candidates have to paste their recent photo and put left hand thumb impression on the printed JEE Main hall ticket in the self declaration section. Check details below:

  • Paste photo - After candidates have downloaded the admit card and taken its print, they can see a space for pasting the photo. Before reaching the JEE Main exam centre, candidates have to paste their photo in the space. The photo should be the same as the one uploaded in the online JEE Main 2026 application form.
  • Left hand thumb impression - Candidates have to put their left-hand thumb impression on the space provided in the admit card before they reach the exam hall.
  • Signature - The signature is to be done in the space provided on the admit card. However, this is to be done on the exam day in the presence of the invigilator. Therefore, keep this space blank.

Filling Declaration for Non-Aadhaar Candidates on JEE Mains 2026 Hall Ticket

For candidates who registered for JEE Main 2026 without using an Aadhaar card (e.g., using PAN, Passport, or Voter ID), additional verification steps are mandatory. Documents to carry with JEE Mains 2026 Admit Card

On the day of the exam, candidates must not carry any banned items. Additionally, candidates are required to bring certain important documents to enter the exam hall. Check below:

Items ALLOWED at JEE Mains Exam Centre

Candidates need to carry the following items to the exam centre.

  1. Admit card along with filled in Self Declaration
  2. One passport-size photo
  3. Any one photo ID proof among – valid School Identity Card/ PAN card / Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/ e-Aadhaar with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.
  4. Medical certificate (for PwD/PwBD candidates to avail scribe service)

Note: For BArch paper, candidates must bring their own geometry set, colour pencils, erasers and pencils. No watercolours are required

Locker facility at JEE Main centres:

Any item other than those listed above will not be allowed inside the exam centre. Some exam centres have a luggage room facility where candidates can place their belongings, such as bags, books, or any eatables. However, it is advised that candidates must not carry anything other than the allowed items

Candidates must not carry any prohibited items inside the exam centre. If any candidate is found hiding a prohibited item inside the exam hall, strict action will be taken against the candidate. Items that are not allowed inside the exam centre are

  • Pencil/Geometry Box or any other stationery (Except for BArch candidates)
  • Handbag
  • Purse
  • Any kind of paper or printed material

JEE Main 2026 Exam Day Instructions & Dress Code

NTA notifies exam day instructions to candidates through the JEE Mains 2026 hall ticket. Candidates should check all the JEE Mains exam day guidelines mentioned in their admit card and adhere to them. All exam day guidelines for candidates are listed below.

  • Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination room

  • Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of the sheet and return the sheets and admit card to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination hall

  • Candidates will have to sit in the seat allocated to them

  • Candidates will be allowed to appear at the allotted venue of the test only

  • Wearing a watch inside the exam hall is not allowed

  • Leaving the exam hall before closure/end of the exam is not permitted

JEE Main 2026 Reporting Time

The JEE Main 2026 exam date and reporting time are mentioned on the JEE Mains admit card. Candidates have to follow the exam day schedule strictly, as after the exam centre closes, candidates cannot enter the exam hall. Inside the exam hall the following activities will take place:

  1. The security guards will check every candidate thoroughly at the time of entry into the exam centre.
  2. Before entering the exam hall, the invigilator at the JEE Main Exam Centre will check and verify the candidate details mentioned in JEE Main admit card and validate it with the photo ID proof.
  3. After reaching the exam hall, candidates admit card will be checked again. The invigilator will ask the candidate to put their left thumb impression in the attendance sheet, and a photograph of the candidate will be submitted.
  4. Candidates will then be directed to their designated seat where they will appear for the exam.
