How to Download JEE Main City Intimation Slip: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main city slip 2026 for both January and April sessions. Candidates can download their city slip under their respective logins at jeemain.nta.nic.in. To download the JEE Mains 2026 advanced city intimation slip, candidates have to login with their application number and password. The city slip PDF will not be sent to the candidates through email or post. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to visit the official site and download the city slip PDF

The city intimation slip is an advanced intimation about the allotted JEE Mains exam date and exam city. It is released before the JEE Mains admit card, so that candidates can make travel and accommodation arrangements for the exam day in advance.

JEE Main City Intimation Slip Download Date

Note that the JEE city slip is not the same as the JEE Mains admit card. JEE Main city intimation slip will only have the allotted exam city and not the exam centre. The JEE Main 2026 exam centre name, address and slot time will be allotted to the candidates via the JEE Main 2026 admit card.

Steps to Download the JEE Main City Intimation Slip

To download the city slip, candidates have to follow the steps below:

  • Visit official JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • On homepage, click on "JEE Main 2026 City Intimation for session 2".
  • Enter the details for JEE Main 2026 login - Application Number and Password along with security pin (as displayed on screen).
  • Click submit button to open candidate dashboard and the city allotment details will be displayed.
  • Save document as PDF and take printout for future reference.

How to Download JEE Mains City Slip if Forgot JEE Mains 2026 Application Number

Without the JEE Main 2026 application number, candidates cannot download the city information slip. In such a case, candidates have to retrieve their application number. The steps to retrieve the NTA JEE application number are:

  • Go to the Official Site: Go to the official JEE Mains 2026 website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Find the Link: Access the candidate login and look for the "Forgot JEE Main Application Number" link.

    1. Candidate Name
    2. Father Name
    3. Mother Name
    4. Date of Birth
    5. CAPTCHA as shown on login screen

How to Download NTA JEE Mains City Slip if Forgot Password

Alongwith the JEE application number, candidates also need the password to login and access their city intimation slip. If the candidates have forgotten their password, then they can use the steps below to retrieve it:

  • Go to JEE Main login page
  • Click on Forgot Password
  • Enter application number and date of birth
  • Select Security Question option
  • Answer question correctly
  • Set a new password

This method will only work if you remember the exact answer that you have selected earlier. If candidates cannot retrieve their password via the above method, then they can also reset their NTA JEE password.

What to Do If Unable to Download NTA JEE Mains Advance City Intimation Slip 2026

There are high chances that while downloading city intimation slip or hall ticket or any detail on the website, candidates might encounter technical hurdles. Here are some of tips to avoid this scenario:

  • High traffic means slow loading or lags on the system. 
  • It is recommended to download city intimation slip of JEE Main 2026, during odd hours such as late at night or early morning.

A: 

National Testing Agency generally conducts the JEE Main exam two times in a year. The first attempt is conducted in January and the second attempt in April. JEE Main 2026 exam dates have been announced by the NTA for both sessions. The first attempt of JEE Main 2026 will be conducted from January 21 to 30 while the second attempt will be conducted from April 2 to 9. Only in the year 2022, NTA conducted JEE Mains in four sessions due to COVID-19. The number of sessions and date for any year is announced by the NTA at the time of release of application form.
