Medieval Philosophy covers and focuses on the philosophical aspects which existed during the middle ages, which extends from the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the fifth century to the Renaissance in the 15^th century. The Philosophy in Europe had been of Greek thinkers, however, as Christianity swept through the Roman Empire, Philosophy had dramatically changed. The Medieval Era was divided into two main periods, the Early Middle Ages and the Golden Age. The works of Aristotle and Plato were rediscovered, translated, and studied in the Early Middle Ages or Medieval Era.
