The Consortium of NLUs has released the merit list for CLAT 2026 Counselling Round 2 on January 22, 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be able to participate in the second round of CLAT 2026 counselling. Other than them, candidates who applied for a seat upgrade in the first round can also secure a seat (if preferred) in the CLAT 2026 counselling round 2. CLAT Exam 2026 was conducted in pen-and-paper mode on December 7, 2026.

Candidates shortlisted in the second merit list of CLAT 2026 will have to upload their documents and pay the admission fee to accept the allotted seats on or before January 29, 2026. Moreover, candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round for CLAT counselling, can pay the difference amount (if remaining) before the given timeline.
CLAT merit list 2026 is shared by the exam authority before and after each counselling round. Candidates who get selected for admission to NLUs in India can complete the admission formalities as per the instructions. If they choose to withdraw from the counselling process 2026, then they can select 'Exit' option available in their dashboard. Those who do not get a seat allotted in the ongoing rounds, can wait for the next round of CLAT 2026, in case there are vacant seats available.

CLAT exam day dos:
- Reach examination centre at the reporting time mentioned on your CLAT admit card.
- Carry two copies of the CLAT admit card, one photo ID card, passport size photos
- PwD candidates should carry relevant certificates and documents.
- Carry a blue/black ball point pen for signing attendance sheet
CLAT exam day don'ts:
- Do not carry items such as bags, purses, pencil box, beepers, wrist watch, calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, scanners, cameras, wireless/Bluetooth transmission or any such communication devices.
- Don't wear closed shoes, jewellery made of metal, jackets, clothes with pockets, mehendi on palms. Socks are allowed inside it.
- Don't wear caps, hoodies or jackets/shirts with pockets
- Don't be late for exam. Entry gates will be closed 15 minutes before the commencement of exam.
Candidates must note that CLAT 2026 Objection Window is now closed. Candidates could raise objection on CLAT Answer Key on or before December 12 until 5 pm. Once the objections were received, the consortium published the CLAT Final Answer Key. Based on that, the CLAT Result will be announced.
The Consortium of NLUs conducts the CLAT Exam from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is held only in one slot. There are no shifts in CLAT Exam. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.

No. Since IIULER has officially joined the Consortium of NLUs, it no longer conducts a separate entrance test for admission to IIULER BA LLB (Hons.) course. Admission is strictly based on the CLAT (UG) merit list. If you miss the CLAT window, you generally cannot apply for that academic year.
