The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) conducts the Common Law Admission Test every year for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses across India. The CLAT exam is conducted for admission to 26 NLUs along with 60+ participating universities across India. Students who score over and above the qualifying cutoff can apply for LLB, BA LLB and LLM courses in the participating institutes. This year, the CLAT 2027 exam will be conducted on December 6, 2026. Students who are preparing for the exam this year must solve CLAT previous year papers to improve their chances of qualifying the entrance test.
Year 2024 brought a major change in the CLAT exam pattern. The board reduced the total number of questions from 150 to 120. However, the total CLAT exam duration remained 120 minutes. CLAT Marking Scheme
The consortium releases the marking scheme inside the CLAT notification. As per the marking pattern, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. No, candidates who fulfill OP Jindal Global University BA LLB (hons) eligibility criteria cannot apply with a CLAT-UG score. This institute only accepts admission based on LNAT-UK entrance exam. No other entrance exams are accepted during admissions form this course.
