The CLAT Admit Card 2026 must be kept by candidates until the admission process is over, as it will be asked during CLAT counselling too. Candidates could download the CLAT 2026 Admit Card by visiting consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT 2026 Exam was held in pen-and-paper mode. Students could download the hall ticket by entering their CLAT Login Portal.  No candidate was allowed to appear for the exam without the CLAT 2026 hall ticket.  CLAT Exam Date 2026 was December 7, 2025. Candidates could download the CLAT 2026 Admit Card until December 7, 2025 (01.30 pm). Aspirants must cross-check all the details mentioned in the admit card and in case of any discrepancy, they can contact the helpdesk.

How to Download CLAT Admit Card 2026?

Candidates could download the admit card for CLAT 2026 in the following ways
  • Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Enter your registered mobile number and password.
  • Click on the Login button.
  • Click on the Download Admit Card.
  • Download and save the hall ticket.

Important instructions on CLAT Hall Ticket 2026

Some of the important instructions mentioned on the CLAT 2026 Admit Card for the exam was

  • Candidates could enter the CLAT 2026 Test Centre premises from 1:00 pm onwards. They had to be seated at their respective seats in the CLAT Exam Hall/Classroom by 1:30 pm.
  • Once students entered the hall/classroom, they were not allowed to leave before 4:00 pm.
  • Candidates were not allowed to enter the CLAT Test Centre 2026 after 2:15 pm.
  • CLAT 2026 examination began at 2:00 pm.
  • Entry to exam hall was permitted only if the candidate was carrying the CLAT admit card 2026.
  • If the photograph on the admit card was not clear, candidates had to bring a self-attested copy.
  • Along with the CLAT 2026 Hall Ticket, candidates had to carry a government-issued photo ID proof such as Aadhaar.
  • In case of any discrepancy in the question booklet, students were advised to request the invigilator to replace it.
  • If candidates marked more than one circle or made any other stray mark on the OMR sheet, the response was counted as a double answer and considered incorrect.

How to retrieve password, if forgotten?

If candidates forget the password then they could follow these steps to recover it

  • On the CLAT Admit Card login window.
  • Click on the Forgot Password.
  • You will be redirected to a new page.
  • Enter your registered mobile number.
  • Click on the Request OTP.
  • Enter it.
  • Click on the Reset Password.
  • You now have a new password.
  • Once done, you can log in by entering your new password.
  • You can download the CLAT hall ticket.

Q:   How to make changes in CLAT Admit Card?
A: 

There is no option to make changes in the CLAT admit card. Details printed on the candidate's hall ticket will be final and non-editable. Incase, there is any error in the details mentioned on the CLAT admit card, like name or roll number of the candidate., etc. then that can be rectified by contacting the CLAT help desk.

Q:   What is the CLAT exam duration?
A: 

The CLAT Exam Duration is 2 hours (120 minutes). Candidates must note that the exam will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is held in single slot. The exam is held in pen-and-paper mode.

Steps to resolve discrepancies in CLAT Admit Card 2026

At times, it is observed that the information given in the CLAT admit card does not match the one provided by the candidate in the application form. It is sometimes also observed that there is a spelling mistake in the admit card. In case, a candidate comes across any such discrepancy or incorrect information in his/her CLAT admit card/hall ticket, s/he was advised to contact the exam helpdesk immediately to get it rectified.

Q:   What is the duration of CLAT PG exam?
A: 

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is likely to conduct the CLAT LLM 2026 Exam on December 7, 2025 in pen-paper test mode. The CLAT PG Exam 2026 will be held for duration of two hours; i.e. from 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates have to answer 120 questions in the given time frame. The scores of CLAT LLM 2026 score will be accepted by 19 NLUs in the country.

Once the CLAT admit card is released, candidates cannot change their allotted exam centre. There is no provision for altering the test centre at any stage, making it crucial to carefully select test cities when filling out the CLAT application form. It is advisable to choose a city that is either your hometown, a city you are likely to be in on the exam day, or a nearby city where you can reach easily.

CLAT exam day dos:

  1. Do not carry items such as bags, purses, pencil box, beepers, wrist watch, calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, scanners, cameras, wireless/Bluetooth transmission or any such communication devices.
  2. Don't wear closed shoes, jewellery made of metal, jackets, clothes with pockets, mehendi on palms. Socks are allowed inside it.
  3. Don't wear caps, hoodies or jackets/shirts with pockets 
  4. Don't be late for exam. Entry gates will be closed 15 minutes before the commencement of exam.

CLAT Exam Day Guidelines 2026

The CLAT 2026 admit card carried all the important guidelines that candidates need to follow on the day of the exam. Candidates were advised to read all the exam day instructions carefully to ensure a hassle-free process on the day of the CLAT exam. Check out some important CLAT 2026 exam day guidelines below

CLAT Hall Ticket and other important documents: Candidates must not forget to carry their valid ID card and the admit card to the CLAT Exam center. In case you fail to present any of these two, you will not be allowed entry to the examination hall.

Reporting time: Candidates should report at the test center at least one hour before the exam 

Late Entry Restriction: No candidate will be allowed to enter the CLAT test center 15 minutes after the test has commenced

Study Material/ Books: No candidate is allowed to carry any study material. If any study material is found with anyone, the Consortium holds the right to immediately disqualify them.

Electronic Devices: Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, or other electronic equipment

No Early Departure: No candidate is allowed to leave the CLAT Examination Hall before the completion of the exam.

No, the Consortium does not send the CLAT admit card by post and candidates have to download it online. Students who will appear for CLAT must download the admit card online as soon as it is released and not delay it until the last moment. Q:   Should the CLAT admit card printout be coloured or black and white?
A: 

Candidates are advised to take a coloured printout of the admit card. However, it is not compulsory. They must ensure that they have two to three spare copies of the admit card for future use. However, in case a candidate does not have access to a coloured printer, she/he can take a black and white printout. In any case the photograph on CLAT Admit Card should be clear. 

Q:   What to carry on the CLAT Exam day?

Check some important CLAT last minute preparation tips to help candidates ace the exam

  • The last week before the CLAT 2026 exam should be totally devoted on revision along with solving previous year CLAT question papers and sample papers.
  • Candidates must solve at least one CLAT paper every day.

The mode of the CLAT exam is offline or paper-based mode. Candidates are handed over hardcopy of CLAT question paper and OMR sheets to answer the questions. Candidates will have to be careful while filling OMR sheet as any scratch or cuts in the OMR sheet will lead to disqualification.

It totally depends on you that when you should start preparing for CLAT. If you want really good marks in board exams, focus on that at first and then prepare for CLAT. If you can manage boards and CLAT preparation side by side then go for it, but do not affect your board scores.

There will be no sectional qualifying criterion for CLAT 2026. The overall marks will be considered while preparing the merit list for CLAT. But to ensure a good score, candidates must ensure a high number of attempts with full accuracy.
