SLAT 2027 Exam: The Symbiosis Law School has started the SLAT 2027 application process. The SLAT 2027 registration link is live on official website: slat-test.org. Students can fill online SLAT Application Form 2027 till the last date. The last date to apply online for SLAT 2027 exam is December 4, 2026. The SIU will conduct the SLAT 2027 exam in two Slots. Candidates can appear for any one slot or both slots. The authority considers best of two marks from both slots. Note: Candidates who appeared in their Class 12 exam or are pursuing Class 12 can also apply for SLAT 2027. But they need their Class 12 results at the time of admission to a 5-year LLB course through SLAT 2027.

  • Go to the SIU official website.
  • Tap on the 'Register' tab.
  • Read all the instructions carefully and then click the 'Continue' tab.
  • Candidates will have to accept the Terms and Conditions before proceeding further.
  • Carefully fill the details as asked on the online SLAT application form.
  • Click on the button 'Save & Continue ' button. Candidates will receive an OTP sent to the mobile number and email address you provided.
  • Upon successful registration, you will receive an email and SMS containing your SLAT ID and password. Use this SLAT ID for all communications related to the SLAT entrance test and admission process.
  • Pay the application fee, save and submit the form to complete the registration process.

In such cases, you have to visit set-test.org and click on the Forgot Password option. Provide your email address and get a confirmation email to reset your password. 

Q:   Can I fill out the SLAT application form offline?
A: 

No, candidates cannot fill out the application form offline. The exam authority for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) releases the SLAT application form online only. SLAT is conducted for all candidates from different Indian states. It is difficult for the exam authority to make the exam form available to everyone at different physical centres. Thus, to allow all the exam aspirants to access the SLAT application form, the exam authority makes it available online on the official website of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org. SLAT application or registration forms can also be accessed on the website of Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, Symbiosis Law School Nagpur, and Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad.

 

Q:   What are the reservation criteria for SLAT?
A: 

SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.

 

Q:   How can I pay the SLAT institute fee while registering for SLAT?
A: 

A candidate desirous of submitting his candidate to select UG programmes is also required to complete the payment process for the desired programme before the losing date for payment of the same. Payment towards the programmes must be made through the website only (set-test.org). After making the payment for SLAT, proceed to complete the online registration form (Part II) for programme registration and the respective institute (s). A candidate is required to make a separate, non-refundable, and non-transferable payment of INR 1000 per programme per institute at this stage.

Thus, if the exam authority changes the SLAT syllabus, candidates will be able to know about those changes by visiting the SET website. All the details related to SLAT in a particular year are published on this website at least 5-6 months prior to the commencement of the exam. No, the SLAT results for all the Symbiosis Laws (SLSs) are not announced separately. The SLAT results for all SLSs are released at the same time. 

Q:   What is the SLAT merit list?
A: 

The SLAT merit list for a particular year is a list containing the name, registration number, and roll number of the candidates who achieved marks equal to or higher than the SLAT cut-off for the SLAT entrance exam conducted in the same year. The SLAT cut-off is made up of scores secured by candidates in the SLAT exam, PI and What. A merit list includes the name, roll number, registration number, collective marks secured by them in SLAT What, and PI their merit rank, and category. Based on the selection of candidates in the SLAT merit lists for a particular 5-year LL.B. Programme, seats are offered to each candidate. In the context of SLAT results, PI refers to Personal Interaction or Personal Interview which is conducted after the Written Ability Test (What) round of the SLAT exam. In PI questions are asked to evaluate the overall personality of candidates and their aspirations as future lawyers. These questions carry a weightage of 30 (equal to 30%). Only those who qualify for the SLAT exam and What are eligible to appear in the SLAT PI. The questions of SLAT PI are of the behavioural category generally and are associated with fundamental concepts of law. In Slot 1, the SLAT 2027 will be held on December 19, and in Slot 2, it will be held on December 26.
