SNAP 2022 Student Reactions and Reviews
Pulkit: It was decent, won’t say as good as I was expecting. There were some moral questions, like if you do something wrong how would you explain it to the manager. There were no LR sets. Usually we have to sets of 2-3 questions. There were few English questions which I wasn’t aware of. SNAP 2022 was different from the mocks I gave. I think I attempted 44 questions. I will be going for another attempt.
Commonly asked questions
SNAP is one of the few MBA entrance exams which is easy in terms of difficulty level. It is much easier The number of questions, as well as the exam duration are less that than other MBA entrance exams. The type of questions asked in SNAP as also pretty straightforward.
Moreover, SNAP exam is held thrice for candidates to repeat attempts, which allows candidates to improve their score if they want to. The SNAP syllabus is same as other MBA entrance exam and there are no questions on Reading Comprehension or Data Sufficiency. This makes the SNAP exam much easier to crack than other exams.
Since 2020, the exam is conducted for only 60 minutes and the total number of questions asked is also 60. The first section of SNAP question paper is General English, the second section is Analytical & Logical Reasoning and the third section is Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency.
A good attempt of around 80 per cent of questions with 85-90 per cent accuracy is considered good score in SNAP. The SNAP exam has 60 questions only, so the number of attempts considered good are 40-45. Candidates must aim to solve a good number of questions in every section of SNAP, so that their overall score is good and they have a better chance of getting selected for admission. If you do not clear the SNAP cut off may not be eligible for admission to MBA programmers offered by SIU institutes. Meeting the minimum cut off is a mandatory requirement to be eligible for the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). Thus, when preparing for SNAP, keep in mind a target score. The SNAP cut offs are lower for Reserved category candidates.
Freshers should start Quantitative Aptitude preparation with NCERT Mathematics books of Class 9 and 10 for getting fundamental understanding of the topics and concepts. Once they have grasped the concepts of Algebra, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Geometry and other topics of Arithmetic, then move on to books with advanced level of Quantitative Aptitude topics. Arun Sharma’s books on preparation for Quantitative Aptitude (also VARC and DILR books) are highly recommended as they are exhaustive and contain test papers of various difficulty levels. With the help of Arun Sharma books, you can understand the concepts and learn application to different type of Mathematical problems. In addition to that, you should refer to other Quant books and sample papers.
Vikas: My exam was good. Verbal Ability was moderate and Logical Reasoning was pretty doable. Quant was bit lengthy. I have made 45attempts. 10-12 in Verbal Ability, 20 in Logical Reasoning and the Rest in Quants. I don’t think anyone can attempt more than 15-16 questions in Quant. I will attempt all three sessions.
Smriti: The exam was fine. It was of 60 minutes and I was a little slow. I should have gone a bit faster. English was just fine. The Logical section was okay. I could complete it but I was left with just 5 minutes by the time I reached the Quants section. Overall, the difficulty level was just fine. English was easy, followed by Logical Reasoning. I attempted all 15 questions in English, 25 of Logical reasoning and 1 of Quants. So, I attempted 41 out of 60 questions. I’ll be taking another attempt of SNAP 2022.

Tanay: I wasn’t too prepared for SNAP 2022 but it went well. I attempted about 45 questions. Section-wise Quant section was difficult with Arithmetic as the dominating topic, whereas English and Logical Reasoning sections were easy. I attempted all 15 questions in English, all 25 in Logical Reasoning and 5 in Quant. I will be appearing for second attempt.
Abhishek: The exam was easy. Logical Reasoning section was quite easy. Quants questions were a bit tough. In English section, some of the question were lengthy. English was okay there was no Reading Comprehension in SNAP this year.
Priyam: My exam went well, but I could have done better actually. English questions were a bit different from previous years. Logical Reasoning was pretty easy. Quants had some questions which were meant to be skipped. Like one question had a lot of data so it was meant to be skipped. My total attempts were 48 so if my accuracy is good then I’ll score well. There was no Reading Comprehension. There were 2 questions of compound words. One question had eight lines and we had to identify which line had alliteration as figure of speech. So, can say it was slightly lengthier than last year’s English section.
I think quant was the toughest, because one had to identify which questions to skip. Logical Reasoning was the easiest section I think. Quant was dominated by Arithmetic. I am appearing for SNAP Session 3.

Symbiosis Skills and Professional University MBA applicants must track SNAP and MAT dates because these exams happen earlier. If you miss the registration for these national tests, you might lose a chance to apply here. Each exam has its own schedule for registration, hall tickets, and results. You

About 20-30 full-length and sectional mocks will be enough for you to crack SNAP exam with high scores. However, make sure you analyse every mock performance and learn from it.

Yes, six months are enough to prepare for SNAP exam. Divide six months into two parts; first three months for syllabus coverage and last three months for mock test practice and revision.

Yes, three months can be enough to prepare for SNAP, if you have appeared for it earlier or as simultaneously preparing for CAT, XAT and other exams. But if you are planning to appear for SNAP for the first time and not preparing for other MBA entrances, then you should devote atleast 6 months.

No, only studying the SNAP books will not be enough for preparation. You will have to practice sample questions, mock tests and previous years' questions too.
