The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the biggest medical entrance exam in India. The exam is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to undergraduate medical, dental, ayurveda, siddha, unani and homoeopathy courses. Candidates who clear the NEET UG 2026 exam will get eligible to participate in the counselling process for admissions to various courses, such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, BVSc & AH and BSc Nursing. Courses Offered Under NEET 2026

Clearing NEET exam opens the doors for candidates to pursue medical or paramedical courses. Candidates who clear the exam and participate in the MCC NEET Counselling need to submit their choice of NEET course and college. The courses are segregated as medical and allied & healthcare courses. Have a look at the NEET courses list below-

Medical Courses after NEET UG Exam

Aspirants who clear the NEET UG exam can get admissions to any of the given medical courses-

  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)

  • BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)

  • BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)

  • BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery)

Allied & Healthcare Courses under NEET UG Exam

Candidates can take admission to Allied and Healthcare courses, earlier known as Paramedical courses, after clearing the NEET exam. Have a look at the list of allied and healthcared courses under NEET-

The duration of the these courses is 5.5 years. However, the duration of BPT or BSc Nursing course is 4.5 years. All these course curricula include one year of compulsory internship. In India, there are a total of 780 medical, 313 dental, 914 AYUSH, and 47 BVSc & AH colleges which accept NEET 2026 scores. There are a total of 20 AIIMS (functional) and two JIPMER campuses. 

NEET Cutoff Scores

Taking admission to medical colleges or institutes depend on the qualification of candidates in the NEET exam. Candidates need to obtain the cutoff scores to be eligible for NEET counselling. The NTA is expected to release the NEET 2026 results in June 2026, as per previous years trends. The NEET result 2026 release date has not been announced yet. The exam will be held on May 3, 2026.
