NEET 2025 result has been declared on June 14, 2025. NTA has released the NEET 2025 topper list. The highest score obtained is 686 out of 720 in NEET 2025 result. Out of 22,09,318 candidates who had appeared for the exam, 12,36,531 candidates have qualified. Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan has secured AIR 1 with 99.99 percentile. Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh has bagged AIR 2. Avika Aggarwal from Delhi (NCT) is the female topper of NEET 2025 with AIR 5. Along with the NEET result, the NEET 2025 cutoff has also been released by NTA.

The NEET 2025 topper list suggests that the majority of the toppers are from Rajasthan. The other states from which NEET 2025 toppers have emerged include Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha and Gujarat. The NEET cutoff score or ranks for Government medical colleges vary for each year and rounds. The cutoff marks and ranks change every year and vary based on factors such as number of seats, number of eligible candidates, number of participants in the counselling round, to name a few.
Yes, NTA lowered the NEET cutoff for this year. As the difficulty level of the NEET 2025 exam was higher than last year and the number of test takers was lower, the NEET 2025 cutoff has reduced than last year. NTA determines the NEET cut off based on the factors such as difficulty level of the exam, total number of test-takers, total number of seats, candidate category and programme.

How to Download NEET 2025 Scorecard
NEET 2025 cutoff percentile for general category students is 50th percentile. Based on this, the NEET cutoff score 2025 for the General category is 686-144. The NEET 2025 cutoff for the General category candidates of the Physically Handicapped (PH) or the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) category candidates is 45 percentile. The subsequent NEET cutoff marks for this category is 143-127. Although the NEET cutoff percentile for the General category has remained the same, the cutoff score reduced from that of last year. This is due to factors such as tougher difficulty level, and lower number of test-takers.
The cutoff for NEET is released along with the result or the scorecard. The NEET cutoff or qualifying marks vary for each category, which are General, SC, ST, OBC and PwD/PH. Along with candidates' scores, percentiles and All India Rank (AIR), NTA also indicates the Qualifying Status of candidates in the scorecard. NTA also released the NEET 2025 cutoff in the official notice along with the declaration of the NEET result. The qualifying cutoff for NEET 2025 is given below:

The qualifying NEET 2025 cutoff marks for General category candidates is 144. Last year it was 162. As expected, the NEET 2025 cutoff for General category candidates is lower than last year. The reason is, the difficulty level of NEET was tougher this year as compared to last year. The competition level has become even higher, along with the increase in the number of seats.

- Visit the official website of NEET 2025 – neet.nta.nic.in or directly enter the link https://examinationservices.nic.in/resultservices/Neet2025/Login
- Click on the tab indicating NEET 2025 scorecard download
- Select the preferred mode of login, either through password or date of birth
- Enter NEET 2025 application number and password and Security Pin as displayed on the screen
- Click on Submit

What After NEET 2025 Result?
Now that the NEET 2025 result is out, qualifying candidates will have to participate in the counselling process, the dates of which will be announced tentatively in October. While Medical Counselling Committee will conduct the NEET 2025 counselling for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats, the state counselling authorities will conduct the counselling for 85 per cent of state quota seats for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses.
