What is BSEB 12th Exam 2027?
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducts Class 12 exams in February every year for Science, Commerce, and Arts streams. The examinations are conducted in two shifts, from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and from 1:45 pm to 5:00 pm. More than 13 lakh students appear for the Bihar Board Class 12th examination every year. The state board also releases the model question papers on its official website for the students to be able to practice from them and analyse their preparation. The Bihar Board releases dummy admit cards for the students to check and rectify any errors. Thereafter, the official admit cards are released in January.
After the examinations are conducted, BSEB releases the answer keys for all the objective questions that are asked in the examination. Students can also raise objections against it (if any).

To pass the Bihar Board Inter exams, students must score a minimum of 30% marks in each subject in the theory paper. On the other hand, the they are required to score at least 40% marks in practicals. Those who fails in one or two subjects will be marked fail. However, the board conduct compartmental exams for such students. Students who are short in any subject by just one or two marks are given grace marks to clear the exam.
Every year, more than 13 Lacs students appear for the BSEB 12th exams. As per the data shared by the Bihar Board, in 2024, a total of 13,04,352 students registered for the BSEB class 12 exam. Last year, a total of 13.18 Lacs students appeared for the BSEB class 12 exam. Out of which, 10.91 Lacs candidates cleared the exam. While Lacs of students were unable to pass the exam. The overall pass percentage stood at 83.7 %. This year too, more than 13 Lacs students are expected to participate in the class 12 board exams. After the declaration of result, BSEB will share the stats related to the BSEB 12th the exam and result.
To pass in the Bihar Board Inter exams, the students must secure minimum 30 out of 100 marks in every compulosry subject. The practical score will also be calculated for the final BSEB class 12 result.
