No Syllabus Reduction for CBSE 2025 Board Exams

Earlier, there were reports that CBSE had reduced the syllabus for Class 10 and Class 12. However, the board has denied these claims and clarified that there will be no reduction in the syllabus for 2025. Also, there will be no open book exams this year, as some rumors had suggested.

CBSE Counselling Services for Students and Parents

To help reduce exam-related stress, CBSE has introduced free psycho-social counselling services for students and their parents. These services will be available until April 4, 2025. The counselling will take place in two phases:

  • Before the board exams begin (to help with stress management and preparation).
  • After the results are announced (to address post-exam stress and career guidance).

What Not to Bring to the CBSE Exam Hall

CBSE has issued an official notice regarding items that are strictly prohibited inside the board exam hall. Failure to comply with these rules can lead to the cancellation of exams for both the current and the following year. Here is a list of items not allowed:

  • Stationery items like printed or written materials, calculators, etc.
    • Exception: Students with learning disabilities, such as Dyscalculia, may use calculators.
  • Electronic devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, earphones, microphones, and health bands.
  • Personal items like wallets, bags, goggles, and pouches.
  • Eatables (opened or packed), except for diabetic students who may carry snacks for medical reasons.
  • Any other item that could be used for unfair practices.

As the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams approach, students must ensure they follow the guidelines, carry their admit card and school ID to the exam center, and be aware of the prohibited items. Itโ€™s important to stay calm, stick to a study routine, and take advantage of the counselling services if needed.
