No, there is no negative marking scheme in the NBSE HSSLC exams. Nagaland board does not follow negative marking scheme in its class 12 board exams. This allow the students answer every objective and subjective questions asked in the exams. However, students should accuracy, especially in the section dedicated to objective type questions. 

An official NBSE HSSLC routine 2026 has been announced. As per the announced exam date,  the NBSE HSSLC exams 2026 will be conducted from February 12 to March 9, 2026. The board announced the NBSE 12th routine on December 1, 2025. As it gets announced, we have updated the same on this page.

The TBSE HSSLC routine 2026 was released on December 1, 2025. Usually, the board announces the Nagaland Board 12th exam date at least 2 months before the exam. The board will hold the NBSE HSSLC exams 2025 between February 12 and March 9, 2026. As the official dates are out, we have updated the same on this page.

NBSE releases Nagaland Board HSSLC syllabus online on its website. The board releases the subject-wise NBSE 12th syllabus PDF on its website. Students can access it at nbsenl.edu.in. Apart from the official website, the students can also access the NBSE class 12 syllabus for all the subjects on this page for free.

The NBSE offer all the common and major subjects in its class 12. All the major subjects are divided stream-wise and few subjects are common for all stream students. The students need to select the subjects as per their choice and stream. Some of the common subjects include English, regional languages, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, History, Political Science, and Education.

The students preparing for the Nagaland Board 12th exams must check the exam format and prepare accordingly. NBSE HSSLC exams include a mix of objective (multiple choice questions), and subjective (short and long type questions). However, exam format may vary subject to subject especially in theory papers. A few papers like Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Sociology etc. also include practical exams of 30 marks in each paper.

Cracking the NBSE HSSLC exam is similar to CBSE because NBSE follows the NCERT carriculu and syllabus. Hence, the students must focus on their NBSE HSSLC exam preparation. The NBSE HSSLC admit cards 2026 are expected to be released in February 2026. The board releases the NBSE 12th admit card at least 10 days before the exam. The students must note that the NBSE HSSLC admit cards are released in offline mode. Schools receive the admit cards from the board and distribute it among the students.

The NBSE HSSLC admit card includes these details- student's name, roll number, father/mother's name, date-of-birth, exam dates, exam timings, exam centre address, exam day instructions, etc. Students must check these details carefully.  In case they find any mistake on their hall ticket, they must contact their school to get ot corrected.

It is possible that any student may lose their NBSE HSSLC Admit Card. However, it can be re-issued with the help of schools. If any students lose their admit card, they must contact their school authority immediately. School will then re-issue the admit card to the student.

Yes, students who fail in one or two subjects in the NBSE HSSLC exam are given another chance to pass the exam the same year. For such students, the board conduct the NBSE HSSLC compartment exams. The students who are not satisfied with heir marks can also appear for the compartment exams to improve their marks in particular subject(s).

As per the Nagaland Board, every student need to secure at least 33% in each subject to clear the Nagaland Board HSSLC exams. Any student fail to achieve 33% in every subject will not be able to clear the exam. However, the students who are fail to obtain 33% marks in maximum of two subjects will be allowed to appear for the compartment exams and pass the same year.

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), Kohima is expected to announce the NBSE 12th result 2026 in April 2026. However, at least a day before result the result, the board will announce an exact NBSE HSSLC result date 2026. Once released, the students can check their result scorecard using their roll number.

In 2025, the board released the NBSE 12th results on April 25, 2025 at 1 PM. 

Preparing for the Nagaland Board HSSLC exams while managing will help the students perform better in the exams. To do that, the students should firstly prepare a daily study plan including all the chapters and topics from each subject. Students should give more time to those subjects which they consider difficult. They should also break their study time table into small session. This is how they can complete the syllabus months before the final exams and can also revise the syllabus and practice the sample papers and previous year's question papers.

Yes, a minimum attendance required to be eligible to appear for the NBSE HSSLC exams. As per the board, every students must complete at least 75% attendance in school classess to appear for the final NBSE 12th exams. Students failing to do so may be barred from the exams. However, in some cases, based on unfit medical condition, students will be allowed to appear for the final Nagaland Board 12th exams.

Preparing for NBSE 12th board exams my result stress in some students. However, it con be consider normal in this phase and the students need not to worry about it. The students should focus on managing the stress by following a balanced routine. They can include physical activity, breaks in between study sessions and should get 7-8 hours sleep every day. Students should set a realistic goal and try to focus on completing the syllabus at least a month before so that they can practice the sample papers & previous years question papers and boost their confidence to appear for the final exams.
