This year, a total of 17,194 students are registered to appear for the Nagaland Class 12 board exams. The candidates are distributed across various streams, with the largest number of students in the Arts category.

The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2025, organized by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), began on Tuesday, February 11, and will continue until March 7, 2025. According to official sources, the exams are being held across 68 centers in the state, with over 17,000 students participating.

Total Number of Candidates and Distribution by Stream

This year, a total of 17,194 students are registered to appear for the Class 12 board exams. The candidates are distributed across various streams, with the largest number of students in the Arts category. Here is the breakdown of student registrations:

  • Arts Stream: 12,403 students
  • Commerce Stream: 1,026 students
  • Science Stream: 3,219 students

Additionally, 546 students are sitting for compartmental exams across different streams.

In a message on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended his best wishes to all students taking the exams. He urged students to stay focused, dedicated, and calm throughout the examination period. โ€œI wish all students success, good health, and peace during the exam period,โ€ Rio said, also expressing his support for the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) in ensuring the exams are conducted fairly and smoothly.

Security and Arrangements in Place for Smooth Conduct

The board exams are an important milestone for the students of Nagaland, and the authorities have made all necessary arrangements to ensure the exams are conducted without any disruptions. Security measures have been ramped up at all exam centers to maintain order and prevent malpractice. Furthermore, invigilators have been deployed at each center to oversee the conduct of the exams and ensure that proper protocols are followed.
