- Candidates are allowed to challenge the provisional answer key of the NIFT Entrance Exam by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per objection.
- The objection window will open for two days from the release date of the Answer Key.
- Using the NIFT GAT answer key, candidates can calculate the number of correct attempts and the expected NIFT score.

How to raise objections against NIFT 2027 answer key?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) displays the recorded responses and NIFT question paper attempted by candidates for the NIFT Entrance Examination 2027 on its official website, ahead of the result announcement. With the help of recorded response documents, candidates can match their answers with those given in the NIFT 2027 answer key to calculate the number of correct attempts. The NIFT 2027 recorded responses will thus ensure transparency in the conduct of the exam and declaration of NIFT results. The recorded responses will likely be available for 2 to 3 days.
NIFT 2027 Answer Key objection window will open tentatively for two days from February 17, 2027 to February 19, 2027. It allows candidates to challenge any discrepancies in the provisional answer key.

How to calculate marks in NIFT Exam using Answer Key?

- Each question carries 01 (One) mark.
- For each correct answer, the candidate will get 01 (One) mark.
- For each incorrect response, -0.25 mark will be deducted from the total marks.
- Unanswered/unattempted will be given no marks.
- In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

The difference between NIFT Marks, NIFT Score and NIFT Rank is that Marks refer to the raw numerical value obtained by a candidate in each section of the exam (CAT, GAT, Situation Test or Interview), Score generally means the combined or weighted total after applying the weightage assigned to each test component and NIFT Rank is the position of the candidate in the national merit list based on final score.

No, you cannot get into NIFT colleges that you have not listed in your counselling application.
- The NIFT counseling process is done after the exam to allot colleges to qualified students in participating institutes.
- Once the NIFT exam results are announced by the NTA, NIFT will declare its counseling schedule.
- You will be required to participate in the counseling process at your preferred institute. The university will assign you to a NIFT Institute based on your score, rank and preferences.
- If you have not listed any college, you will not get a seat allocation in that college even if you meet the qualifying cutoff.
There will be three rounds of counselling in NIFT Counselling . One round of spot counselling is also expected if there are seats left.
NIFT Answer Key 2027 - FAQs

NIFT GAT answer key will contain the official keys to all the questions asked in the entrance exam. Answer key will be released for each booklet series. Candidates have to download the answer key for their relevant question booklet. The answer key can be used by the candidate to compare their answers. After checking the number of correct attempts, candidates can calculate the number of correct attempts and probable score.
NIFT exam may have multiple question booklet series Booklet Series A, Booklet Series F, Booklet Series L, Booklet Series R, etc.
Candidate must download the answer keys corresponding to their own booklet series. booklet series contains the same questions, but the questions are arranged differently. So, unless the candidate downloads the answer keys corresponding to the relevant booklets series, the keys will not match. And if that happens, the candidate will not be able to accurately calculate the probable scores.
NIFT Final key is released after considering complaints filed by candidates against the provisional key. No further objections against the final key are entertained. This means the keys given in the final key are considered correct for all the questions asked in the NIFT exam.
The NIFT exam includes two stages - The candidate first appears in the written exams, and if shortlisted has to next appear in a Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI).
Note that the written exams for the B.Des and M.Des program includes the GAT and CAT, whereas for the other programs the written exam includes only the GAT.
The final score for the B. Des programme will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in CAT, GAT and the Situation Test. In case of the B.FTech programme, the merit list will be prepared based on GAT scores.

One big concern students have regarding the delay in the NIFT exams is that the upcoming admission schedule could be cramped. If that had happened, the student would have had very limited time to prepare for the situation test/ personal interview. The other concern was if a student had failed to qualify in the written exams, he would also have limited time to plan his or her next course of action.
There are 20 NIFTs that will accept NIFT 2027 Scores for admission purposes. These institutes are known as participating colleges.
However, in addition to the participating colleges, there are other private colleges that will also consider NIFT scores for admission to their UG and PG design courses. The candidates are urged to go through the list of result-sharing institutes.
NIFT answer key is released for the GAT paper and the candidate is also given the option to file objections. Objections have to be filed online through the candidate portal. The candidate has to furnish proper proof supporting their claims.
If the challenge filed by the candidate is found to be correct and the answer key is incorrect, the admission committee will delete the key. Also, the correct key (s) are released in the final key. Note that the scores of the candidate will be calculated using the revised key only. The fee paid by the candidate will not be refunded.
The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) releases answer keys only for the computer-based GAT test. No answer key are released for the offline-based CAT paper.
