TS LAWCET Counselling 2026 - The candidates who pass the TG LAWCET exam 2026 will be able to participate in the counselling. This exercise will be conducted for granting admission to the colleges accepting these scores. There will be two phases of TSLAWCET counselling- Phase 1 & Phase 2. The candidates who could not qualify for the second phase of TS LAWCET counselling will have to wait for further notification for the counselling schedule, if the seats remain vacant.
The TS LAWCET Counselling 2026 includes important steps such as Online Registration, Release of Seat Allotment list, and Self Reporting to the college allocated. The list of Provisionally selected candidates will be prepared College wise and will be placed in the website. The candidates participating in TS LAWCET counselling will then have to report to their alloted college and get their documents verified and lock their seat by paying the admission fee.
The TGCHE admission cell releases a list of candidates whose application for TSLAWCET counselling is verified and approved. These candidates can further participate in the web-options exercise to choose their preferred college for admission. The candidates whose names does not appear in the verified candidate's list will then have to upload the documents required within the deadline to verify get their candidature verified.

TS LAWCET Counselling Registration 2026
It is mandatory for all the candidates to register for the TS LAWCET counselling 2026 to get admission to a 5-year LLB course or a 3-year LLB course. Check out the process for TS LAWCET 2026 counselling registration below:
- Go to the TSCHE's official website, lawcet.tsche.ac.in, or click on this direct registration link - lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in
- Click on the "TS LAWCET & TS PGLCET-2026 Admissions" option.
- Now, click on the "Apply Online" option.
- Log in by entering your "TS LAWCET 2026 hall ticket number" and "TS LAWCET 2026 rank."
- Fill out the counselling registration form and pay the counselling registration fee.
- Submit the form & create multiple copies of your registration form for future reference.
Note: Before submitting your TS LAWCET 2026 counselling registration form, review it carefully and correct mistakes if there are any. Once you submit the form, you will not be able to edit it.

The TS LAWCET counselling schedule will be released through the official TSCHE Portal - lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in. TS LAWCET counselling is the procedure by which qualifying students are admitted to various law programmes offered by Telangana universities and colleges based on their ranking and college preferences.
The web-options exercise for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses during TS LAWCET counselling will be conducted online on the official TGCHE admission portal. Further, candidates will also be given the option to edit their responses submitted during the web-option exercise.
TS LAWCET Counselling 2026 Phase II
After the first round of counselling, the following candidates can participate in the next round of TS LAWCET 2026 counselling as under:
- Candidates who have secured a seat in the first round, however, now want to change their allotted college.
- Candidates who participated in the phase I counselling, however, could not secure a seat.
- TS LAWCET rank holders who did not participate in the first round, even though they have been called for the counselling process.
- The candidates who were allotted a seat but could not or did not report to their allotted colleges.
- The candidates who have cancelled their seats in the phase I allotment round.
Important Instructions for Phase II
- The candidates participating in the second round have to lock their choice of colleges as a fresh option entry even if they have participated in phase I of counselling.
- Candidates can select a college and courses even if no vacancy is shown, as the vacancy can arise from withdrawal or cancellation by the candidates.
- The candidates who have confirmed their seat allotment in the first round, reported to their colleges and are satisfied with their college allotment, need not participate in the second round.
- Candidates will lose claim over the seat allotted in phase I if they participate and confirm admission in the second phase of seat allotment.
- To cancel the seat allotted in the second phase, candidates have to contact the principal of the allotted college only.

After the TS LAWCET seat allotment list is released, candidates whose names appear in the seat allotment list will have to report to the assigned college for verification of original certificate and tution fee receipt. Candidates will have to confirm their seat if they are satisfied with the seat allotment.
TGCHE will release the Phase 2 TS LAWCET seat allotment list on September 22, 2025. The TS LAWCET 2025 first seat allotment list was released on August 29, 2025 on the TGCHE official website. Candidates whose names will appear in the list will then have to appear and report to the alloted college as per the official schedule. Candidates will be required to carry the important documents for verification and confrimation of seat.

- Aadhar Card or any other valid ID proof
- TS LAWCET / TS PGLCET-2026 Rank Card
- Memorandum of marks of SSC or equivalent
- Memorandum of marks of Intermediate or equivalent (Class 12)
- Memorandum of marks in Qualifying Examination (Class 12 marks memorandum for 5-year LLB and Graduation marks memorandum for 3-year LLB)
- Provisional / Degree Certificate of Qualifying Examination
- Migration Certificate (If applicable).
- Study certificates from 5th class to Graduation
- Residence Certificate (for Telangana candidate)

- Employer Certificate (for candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local bodies, Universities and other similar Quasi Public Institutions within the State at the time of applying for TS LAWCET - 2026) examination.

Commonly asked questions
During the web-option exercise, candidates eligible to participate in the counselling and whose documents are verified will have to select the college of their preferences online. The list of colleges accepting the students for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-Year LLB is released by the TS LAWCET admission cell on the official website. The candidates can select atleast three colleges for their admission during the TS LAWCET web -option exercise.
TS LAWCET question paper will be set both in English and Telugu or English and Urdu. Candidates will be given option to choose the language as per their preferences. The Telangana LAWCET exam will comprise the questions majorly from three subjects namely GK & Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law.
There are a total of 120 questions in the TS LAWCET question paper. Following is the segregation of marks for each section:
- General Knowledge & Mental Ability: 30 questions
- Current Affairs: 30 questions
- Aptitude for the Study of Law: 60 questions
The Aptitude for the Study of Law is the most important section of the TS LAWCET exam because majority of the questions are asked in this section and it carries a weightage of equal to 60 marks out 120 marks.
The official TS LAWCET cutoff marks will not be available on a single webpage. This is because the cutoffs are determined for each counselling round and for each participating college and course. Thus, each college participating in TS LAWCET will release the cutoff marks on its official webiste.
However, you can find the TS LAWCET cutoff marks on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) after they declare the results at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The cutoffs are generally released separately for each round of counselling.
The TS LAWCET qualifying criteria refer to the category-wise minimum marks required to pass the exam. There are no qualifying marks for the SC and ST category candidates. However, General candidate need 35% marks.
