RRB ALP Result 2024 Date Real or Fake?

The RRB ALP Result 2024 for 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies is eagerly awaited. However, a viral notice claims that the RRB ALP 2024 result date has been announced. Know whether the date is real or fake here
RRB ALP 2024 Result Update: A notice regarding the RRB ALP result 2024 and the CBT 2 exam date has been circulating widely on social media, creating confusion among candidates. Many aspirants are questioning whether the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released the result date or if the notice is fake. However, upon verification, it has been found that none of the 21 RRBs have published any official announcement regarding the ALP Result 2024. The notice in question is neither available on the official websites nor has it been acknowledged by any RRB.
There is also speculation that the notice might have been leaked. However, according to a report from a YouTube channel, the viral RRB ALP 2024 result notice is copied from an old notification issued by the Railways in 2018. A detailed comparison reveals that the content of the circulating notice is identical to the one released in 2018, further confirming that the information is misleading.
RRB ALP Result 2024 Date Fake?
It has been mentioned in the viral RRB ALP result date notice that, the "list of candidates shortlisted for second stage CBT for each RRB, based on their merit and post preference, is likely to be published on or before 12th February, 2025 along with the actual marks and normalized scores of the candidates."
Similarity with RRB ALP 2018 Result Date Notice Raises Doubts
As per the official RRB ALP notification released in 2024, the recruitment for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians was conducted through separate notifications. However, the viral notice circulating online includes a reference to post preferences, which raises doubts about its authenticity. This discrepancy suggests that the notice is not an official release but rather a copy of the 2018 RRB ALP notification, in which the recruitment for ALP and Technicians was announced together. The inclusion of post preferences in the viral notice aligns with the 2018 format, further indicating that it has been lifted from the older notification rather than being a genuine update for 2024.
Normalization Process: 2018 vs. 2024
Additionally, another major inconsistency lies in the mention of actual marks and normalized marks. In the 2018 RRB ALP recruitment, the normalisation of marks was a part of the selection process. However, for the 2024 recruitment cycle, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have shifted to percentile-based normalization, which ensures a fair evaluation across different shifts. The viral notice does not mention percentile-based normalization, making it evident that it does not align with the current marking scheme. Given these clear mismatches between the viral notice and the actual RRB ALP 2024 notification, it is highly likely that the circulating document is outdated and misleading.
