CSIR NET 2024 Result released

CSIR UGC NET 2024 Result OUT: The National Testing Agency (NTA) published the CSIR NET result 2024 on September 12, 2024 at csirnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates can use their application number, date of birth and security pin to download the CSIR UGC NET 2024 result online. This year, the CSIR UGC NET exam was conducted on July 25, 26 and 27. 

The CSIR NET examination covered five subjects and was conducted across the 348 centres in 187 cities throughout India. The subjects for which the exam was conducted included Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences and Chemical Sciences. The total number of registered candidates was 225,335 and 163,529 actually appeared for the examination.

Steps To Check The CSIR NET Result 2024

Candidates can check below the steps to download the CSIR UGC NET 2024 result:

  • Visit the official website of CSIR NET - csirnet.nta.ac.in
  • Click on the 'CSIR UGC NET 2024 Result' link
  • Enter the following details: Application number, Date of birth & Security pin as shown in the image
  • Click on Submit
  • View and download the CSIR NET result and scorecard

The official notice states that no score card will be dispatched to the candidates in hard copy by post or through e-mail.

The preparation for the CSIR NET exam depends upon the candidate to candidate. Generally, it is considered that with the right guidance and structured approach 6 to 12 months are enough for the CSIR NET preparation. Proper dedication and structured approach also plays a crucial role.

Generally, the good score in the CSIR NET exam is considered as 120+ out of 200 for JRF General category candidates and for Lectureship 90 to 110 range. This can vary year to year.

The CSIR NET exam is considered to be Moderate to Difficult in overall difficulty. Generally, Part C of the exam is considered to be difficult. Also, in subjects, Life Science is perceived to be tougher because of the depth of the syllabus and Chemical Science consists of the application-based quest

As per the cutoff trends and normalization process, candidates should aim to achieve at least 100 marks out of 200 to clear or meet the benchmark for the CSIR NET Life Science exam. For candidates who want to score for JRF then 110 or above is considered to be a good target.
