Review of Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Our class has a maximum of 100 students in my course. The highest placement is around 2-3 LPA, and the lowest is Rs. 50,000. Around 50% of students got internships in my course. Our college offers accounting management, etc. Our class gets overcrowded by students.
Infrastructure: Basically, the accounts lab is amazing. All the computers are working well. The library is so amazing. All the books are easily available to us, and the place is quiet, so anyone can study easily. However, the Wi-Fi connection is not so good.
Faculty: To be honest, the faculty members are amazing in our college. They teach very well and in the simplest language. Moreover, they are knowledgeable, and they know everything about my courses. The course curriculum is also relevant for us, and the exams are not difficult in our course.
Other: I love my course because I know many things from it, and I am enjoying my studies in B.Com (Hons). I think if our course had computer classes and more emphasis on business maths, it would be better.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the overall crowd.
Placements: 70-80 percent of students got placed in various companies. The highest package is 15 - 20 LPA, the average is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest package offered in B.Com (Hons) is 4 - 5 LPA. The top recruiters are PwC, Deloitte and KPMG, etc. Almost all the students are able to get an internship in the reputed firms, thanks to Cyfle, the placement cell of our college. The top role offered is business consultant.
Infrastructure: If we talk about the overall infrastructure, it is good. The library of Deshbandhu College is marvellous, and the labs are also in good condition. Classrooms also have good ventilation, benches are in good condition, and there is plenty of space in the classrooms. Wi-fi works well.
Faculty: The faculty is really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. I love the way the teacher explains the topic and gives their cent percent in each and every topic. I genuinely feel that this course curriculum is very relevant to real-world situations and practical, which makes the students industry-ready. The difficulty level, I would say, is average.

Somehow, I am satisfied with my college life.
Placements: I am not so sure about the placements where the B.Com Hons batch gets placed. Its always about your skills and ability to get placed. Students even get placements through their personal contacts, LinkedIn, or through cold mailing. I heard about a batch getting placed by the side of our college. You have to make efforts to get yourself placed.
Infrastructure: Facilities and Infrastructure available for our course are pretty good. During my first year, there are a lot of issues with Wi-Fi, but the student union resolved them, and now you get good Wi-Fi in the lab. The new block classrooms where our classes happen are pretty good, and also the lab in the new block is very nice, like very big with many computers.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful till now, they have a lot of knowledge and have good qualifications. Although some teachers do not teach well, that happens in school as well, but some teach fabulously, thats okay. The course curriculum does not actually make the students ready because its all theoretical knowledge that needs more practical knowledge. Semester exams are okay, sometimes difficult, and sometimes very easy, depending on your preparation. Passing percentage, I am not sure.
Other: There is no agenda as such to choose this course, but I applied for only the B.Com (Hons). Both my seniors from 2nd and 3rd years are very good, although the 3rd year has passed now, but still they are in touch with us, and they helped us a lot during exams and other things.

Good placements, kind faculty and amazing infrastructure.
Placements: The placement initiatives are growing day by day, and we have the top 4 companies too now during our placement cell fair and drives, be it EY or others. For my course, many government-based companies are coming too, like AIMA, and overall, it's a great thing. As internships are also available from the first year in various fields like marketing, finance, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities are really good. We have computer labs with proper Wi-Fi for them, so that we are learning technology too. The library has all the books, so no one needs to purchase any book from anywhere, everything is available in our college itself. Canteen and cafeteria are there for a wide variety of food, be it home-cooked or fast food.
Faculty: The faculty is too kind and sweet. They are easily approachable and teach in a very good manner, which is easily understandable. So I think it's a great thing as they are quite experienced too, like one of our teachers has 35 years of experience. So whenever they share some insights with us. We are always evolving and learning, and because of this, we are all able to score a good CGPA in exams.
Other: The departmental fests are amazing! They are too fun to attend. Like we have our commerce society fest every year, that is Minerva, so we have competitions and speaker sessions in that. Other societies, like Cell and Music or dance societies, also have their events regularly.

I'm satisfied because of the good faculty and placement last year.
Placements: If we talk about placement, the college is nice. The placement cell helps the student with placement. Mostly Deloitte, KPMG, and Big 4 companies came for placements. The average package is around 6 LPA. The college also held campus placement through the placement cell.
Infrastructure: The college lacks a hostel, but it has a nice library, a reading room and a great collection of books. There is a huge auditorium, along with a sports complex, and the sports society Crimson. It is also very active on campus and is equipped with Wi-Fi and smart classrooms.
Faculty: The faculty is very great and supportive, but there is a big issue with attendance. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. There is not much difficulty in passing the exams. The median percentage is around eight CGPA. And great support from the administration.
Other: I chose this course because of its multidisciplinary nature and because of the benefit of placement. There should be improvements in the course regarding the involvement of mathematics as a subject. Also, if we talk about the event, the fest and crowd, there is nothing to worry about. After all, it's Delhi University.

Q:   I have scored less than 60% marks in class 12th. What are my chances of getting admission to B.Com course at University of Delhi?
    A:

    Q:   Are DU applications out?
    A:

DU University registrations via CUET usually begins in February every year. Soon after the release of the notification, the CUET application process commences online. Candidates willing to appear for CUET exam must ensure to fill out the application form online when released. Interested candidates were able to apply online on the official website of CUET UG and CUET PG.

Students can read about CUET UG application process and CUET PG application process to understand the procedure. Followed by the application forms of CUET UG and CUET PG, DU starts the DU CSAS registration for final college and course allotment of students who qualify the exams. Q:   How is the overall infrastructure of the college?
    A:
Here's my answer based on the given reviews:

    1. The college's infrastructure is considered reasonable and adequate, with some reviewers mentioning that it is neither too good nor too bad.
    2. Some reviewers praise the comfort and quality of the seats, as well as the availability of air conditioned classrooms and labs.
    3. The new classrooms are appreciated by some reviewers, who also mention that the library is fully air-conditioned and has Wi-Fi.
    4. While some reviewers find the library to be good, others express mixed opinions about its usefulness.
    5. Reviewers generally positively describe the campus size, facilities such as Wi-Fi and the canteen, as well as the presence of separate departments for different courses.
    6. Medical facilities and hostels are also available and the college hosts annual sports events and inter-college competitions.

Overall, the infrastructure of the college seems to be decent and well-maintained, with some areas standing out as particularly impressive, such as the new classrooms and the fully air-conditioned library.
Q:   Can I take admission for BCom at DU with 83 per cent?
    A:
For admission in Delhi University for BCom, candidates have to follow the process laid down by the University which is to register for the CUET. Delhi University accept applications for UG programmes based on CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and final admission depends on the previous Class 12 scores and the score obtained by students in CUET.
After the exam, candidates must register on CSAS portal of DU. The portal will ask about the top 10 colleges you prefer. Then the CUET scores are required to be uploaded online and the portal will show you the college that you are allotted by the university.
Now, while the process of the university has changed, the competitiveness of the colleges allocated to the students under DU have not. Hence, it can  be considered that getting into a BCom college under DU for a General category student with 83 percent will be equally tough in 2024 as it was earlier. However, students with excellent CUET scores might stand a chance.

    Q:   Is CUET fee revised?
    A:

No, CUET application fee is similar as of previous year. The CUET registration fee is updated on release of the CUET notification. Earlier, CUET application fee was revised with the reduction on choice of subjects for CUET exam. NTA will commence CUET UG 2026 registrations at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can know the revised fee, exam pattern and important dates on CUET 2026 notification PDF.
