Q: Β  What is the last date for DU admission 2026?
    A:

Delhi University admission 2026 is open now. The last date to apply for DU PG courses is Jun 7, 2026. For the UG courses, students have to apply through CSAS counselling after CUET results are declared. The last date is tentatively scheduled for July 2026.

Q: Β  Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q: Β  Can I get admission in Delhi University without CUET?
    A:

CUET UG is compulsory for admission in the affiliated colleges of University of Delhi for UG courses. Delhi University introduced admissions through CUET scores in 2024 for candidates who seek admission. Candidates will not be granted admission on the basis of merit of class 12th. However, there are some specific percentage criteria needed to appear for the CUET exam for class 12th candidates which is given below:

    • Students must have passed Class 12 or appeared in Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the central, state, private or deemed universities.
    • For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET 2025. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.

Morever, candidates who wish to apply for Delhi University must have a valid score in CUET. Undergraduate courses including BCom, BTech, BA, BSc and more are offered by the affiliated colleges. They don't offer any internships by the department, Although the students have the knowledge and potential to work with those firms, which can hire a mathematician.

It is not an excellent college, but it is the best in many ways, like education and infrastructure.
Placements: Placement is not guaranteed, but it is good. This college gives you guidance, and the highest package of the college is 25 LPA, while the lowest is 10 LPA. It is the best in placements. Hansraj College is ranked 3rd in NIRF, and its placement offers are high compared to other DU colleges, and different companies come to the college. Many students also secure internships.
Infrastructure: In my college, the infrastructure is good, and the facilities are average. Hansraj College is in the top 5 DU colleges. The hostels have good infrastructure, and there are great library facilities. There are NCC and NSS society rooms, a huge library with all available books, and different departments like my Chemistry department. There are also sports facilities and a huge ground.
Faculty: In Hansraj College, the professors of every department are good, and they complete their syllabus perfectly and guide the students. The course curriculum is excellent, and they help students in many ways. There are many societies, like Rasayanatyan Chemistry Society, Nistha Society, and many other events each semester, with a pass percentage of roughly 90%.
Other: I choose this course because I am interested in Chemistry. And make future in this. I think to improve in lab and practical facility. Fest are medium not best.

Decent college with good learning environment and average placements.
Placements: Around 50-70 percent of students got placed depending on the course. The average package is around 3 LPA-5 LPA with the highest going up to 6 LPA-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Internship opportunities are available but students often need to apply on their own. Roles offered are mostly entry-level like support engineer, analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with proper classrooms, labs, and a library. Wi-Fi is available but it can be slow sometimes. Labs are decent but could be upgraded. Hostel facilities are average. The rooms are manageable and the food quality is okay. There are sports and medical facilities available as well.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good but sometimes it depends on the subject and faculty. The curriculum is relevant but needs some updates to match current industry requirements. Semester exams are moderate not too difficult if you study regularly. Pass percentage is quite good, and most students clear exams without much difficulty.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in Science and computer-related subjects. The best part of my course is that it gives both theoretical and practical knowledge. Teachers are supportive and help in understanding concepts clearly. I feel that more practical exposure and industry-level training should be added. The college organizes some events and fests which are enjoyable, and the campus crowd is decent. Connectivity is good and the surroundings are also fine. Scholarships are available but awareness about them should be improved.

It provides a good sense of learning and great exposure in the real field.
Placements: In our course, generally students have to study further in a specific field of their choice in the particular subject that they have graduated from. Via doing further studies, several opportunities came across students, such as working in pharmaceutical labs, as teachers, professors, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is in adequate condition, which is what a student can think of. Labs and stuff are pretty good, as the availability of equipment is not a concern for students, as it is present in a surplus amount in the storage facilities. Hostel facilities are not provided by our college. Facilities provided by the college management are good.
Faculty: Staff members of the college are nice. Teachers are very friendly in our department. The quality that they possess is great. The course curriculum is relevant, as I have understood until now. Exams are pretty much decent if we talk about the difficulty level and stuff.

It is good for the crowd, but the advanced system is not present there.
Placements: Placements here are very low and below the moderate category. There is a placement society that invites companies like Deloitte and PwC to hire students, but very few get placed. The average package offered ranges from 3-5 LPA. Less than 10 percent of students get placed during my course duration here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very low and moderate here. There are systems with an old configuration and a slow working environment. Labs are functional but not advanced. The hostel facilities are not available for boys in this college. The library is big with an immense number of books.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in every possible field. They have good knowledge. The infrastructure provided by the university is very limited, which hinders the growth of individuals. The course doesn't prepare students for industry-ready work, but theoretical knowledge is provided here. Semester exams are quite moderate with a 30 percent passing criteria.
Other: I got in through the sports quota. I wish to improve the system present in the labs and make them industry-ready for students to excel in real life.

Absolutely a good college in the South Campus.
Placements: Almost 60 percent of students got placed from our batch. The average package is 2 LPA-3 LPA. 60 of the total students got involved in the internships. The top roles offered are for a lab assistant, research, analysis, and microbiology teaching. Some of the students from my course are also in the IIT.
Infrastructure: The hostel is pretty decent, but only available for those who are from another state or country. No such restrictions and the food is nice. Also, it's very close to college so no issues with computing. College infrastructure is good. There are 2 buildings old and new. The new one is far better than the old one.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely brilliant if you are attentive in your class. They are very polite, supportive, and engaging. There is no tolerance for the bad behavior of students. Also they try to help in every aspect, like if someone needs a reference or anything, including a scholarship, they can help in that too.
Other: Extracurricular activities are good, like different groups and clubs in the college. They keep arranging for different programs, fests, and all. Overall environment is very good.

Balanced experience with strong academics and campus life.
Placements: For Hansraj College B.Sc. Hons Computer Science, the placement rate is about 50 percent. The maximum salary package range between 23 LPA-25 LPA, the average package is about 6 LPA-8 LPA, while the minimum package is 4 LPA-5 LPA. The prominent recruiters are Brain, BCG, Deloitte, EY, Accenture, and Infosys but most of the jobs lie in consultancy and analytics instead of technical jobs. Nearly 60-80 percent of the students get their internships at startup firms, consulting firms, and technology companies. Some of the positions offered are Software Developer (a few), Data Analyst, Business Analyst, and Consulting Analyst.
Infrastructure: Regarding the infrastructural aspects of Hansraj College B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science these are fair but not great. This is to say that there is Wi-Fi, working computer laboratories, good classrooms, and the library is well-stocked. In terms of hostel arrangements these are the worst. The boys' hostel is undergoing construction while the girls' hostel is better but restricted. There is no mess facility here students depend upon the canteen tender which is quite costly as the total fees are one lakh for 6 months for only hostel. As for medical facilities they provide first aid facilities only.
Faculty: With regards to teaching staff in the Hansraj College B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science programme I would say that they are adequately trained, knowledgeable, and supportive especially when it comes to basic subjects. The level of teaching is adequate for developing the conceptual base, although it could seem overly theoretical at times. The syllabus of the course is quite relevant in terms of fundamental aspects and theories it is not entirely industry-oriented. The semester examinations are moderate in terms of difficulty it is quite easy if you study regularly. The overall percentage of passing is quite high 85-95 percent.
Other: B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science from Hansraj College was selected for my academic studies based on its prestigious name, exposure to DU, and bright career prospects in the IT industry. The positive aspects of choosing this programme include quality theoretical education, a competitive environment, and many other activities organized by societies, networking, industrial connections, and technical placements. The campus atmosphere is lively and there are several events such as Confluence. There are good connectivity options due to the proximity of the North Campus. The area is student-oriented. Scholarships are available but few.
