    A:

Before the CUET counselling process for DU will even begin, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

    • If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.

On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.

Q: Β  How is CUET UG cut off calculated?
    3thumbs up
    A:

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:

    • Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
    • The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
    • The difficulty level of the CUET exam
    • Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)

CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:

100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.

Q: Β  Can I get admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi in B.Sc. if my rank is between 140000 and 145000?
    A:

For last year, the closing rank for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing was 142877 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi.

Q: Β  Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

It's a good college with good faculty and crowd.
Placements: Placement is average when compared to all colleges, but it's obviously above average if we compare to DU colleges. A good number of companies come to our college and even an internship fair is organised regularly so that students can find internships for the summer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. 1 mark cut for no dedicated football facility and there is no AC in classrooms despite an increase in heat. The main problem is there is no auditorium in the college premises. It is said a million times that it is in development. Labs are good.
Faculty: I'm satisfied with the teachers and all. All are very helpful and good in nature. Teachers are qualified, and they are helpful if you ask about any problem, they will help you. The lab staff also provide you with appropriate information.
Other: This college is famous for its crowd and its fest. They are literally the best when it comes to grand fests. The crowd is very good as compared to other DU colleges.

Average view on college, good overall, beautiful, and helpful.
Placements: Placements in Science Courses are usually lower. The highest package offered in college is 21.5 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA. Usually Science courses students opt for entrance exams and higher education to move further into their respective fields.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, tables, chair, boards, and projectors are present in classrooms. The library is amazing for students looking for different genres of books and to study in their free time. The only problem is the fans being spaced too far apart and no ACs in common classrooms. The canteen has decent food, good sports facilities, and medical facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are very educated in their respective fields and display immense knowledge yet sometimes their quality of teaching is not up to the mark. The course curriculum is relevant as it prepares you for both entrance exams and other options which students might go for. The semester exams are medium to hard and the pass percentage is around 90-95 percent.
Other: I chose this course as it offers diverse knowledge in not only one subject but multiple. For my course I would suggest better lab facilities. The events are amazing and well thought about, extracurricular activities are also very prominent, and the college is very supportive of these activities.

Dream campus life along with building your dream career.
Placements: The college provides multiple internship opportunities including from its own internship cell called Sri Vipra. Students have secured internships in AIMMS and JNU as well. The average package for students passing out in Biochemistry is 2 LPA-3 LPA and they are placed in multiple research positions
Infrastructure: The college offers Wi-Fi in all areas. It provides a big library that is air-conditioned. Classrooms are well-ventilated and big to avoid crowded spaces. It has a badminton court, tennis court, cricket court, a sports room with various kinds of sports equipment, and table tennis. The canteen facility is hygienic and offers a large variety of good and affordable food.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, and overall teaching quality is really good. They are knowledgeable in their fields and provide us with enough resources and guidance to not only clear the exams but also build a career. The curriculum is focused as per the course, giving us a complete understanding of the subject and preparing us for entrance exams for Master's. The semester exams for biochemistry are not that difficult if the student has studied properly, and more than 95 percent of students pass the semester exams.
Other: Sri Venkateswara College is one of the best colleges for biochemistry and one can experience this when they join. The lab experience with helpful staff satisfied my interest. For extracurricular activities, various societies are a part of the college which provide a platform for socialising and inculcating hobbies. The college fest Nexus is one of the best fests in Delhi University, offering various competitions, organising opportunities and entertainment.

Satisfied with the college and crowd.
Placements: I believe 80–90% of students who sit for placements get placed. The highest package is around 18 LPA, and the lowest is around 4 LPA. The average package should be around 7–8 LPA. The internship fair that happens every year helps students get internships. I also get a stipend-based internship through it. The top roles offered are mainly Analyst roles.
Infrastructure: Facilities are okayish. The Wi-Fi is average. Labs are of good quality, and so are the classrooms and library. During exam time, the library hours are extended till 7:30 PM. The quality of the hostel and hostel food is sustainable at best. The medical facilities are good and always open. The sports and games room is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are great and highly qualified. Their expertise in their subjects, as well as their experience, is excellent. Their help and support are always available to us students. The curriculum is up-to-date and helps us cope with the rapid changes in the industry. The semester examinations are quite difficult, but the pass percentage is more than 95%.
Other: I have always had a knack and passion for analysis and mathematics. Hence, statistics is my preference. Overall, the college is great. The events and campus crowd are top-notch. The fest NEXUS is one of the best in Delhi University.

Overall general idea for Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Maximum placements occur mostly in commerce courses and some courses like Economics and Statistics. However, placements are available in every course. But those placements may not always be related to the subject. The placement cell society organizes its annual event known as the I-Fair. In this event, students apply for internships, and companies offering internships are invited from outside the college. It provides great exposure and learning opportunities for summer internships. Students belonging to any other course can also avail themselves of these opportunities based on their abilities.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped and well-maintained by the staff. The food is clean, very affordable, and tasty. The college also has medical facilities. The only drawback of the college is that there is no central air conditioning or air conditioning facility throughout the campus. Air conditioning is available only in the library and some classrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and take an interest in teaching and helping students learn. The attendance criteria are quite strict. It ensures that students are actually learning. However, the curriculum we study comes from University of Delhi. It can be considered outdated by some people according to the current scenario.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in this field. The college I study at provides very good facilities for Science courses.

My experience at Sri Venkateswara College, University of DelhiΒ as a Botany Student.
Placements: The room for placement is very low. We usually receive internships from the college itself. But they also have a very low chance of selection, as many of us are not well-trained in the mannerisms of lab work. Most students usually opt for either the fourth year for experience or go for higher studies such as M.Sc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. Even after many complaints, basic facilities of classrooms such as projectors and boards do not work properly. Wi-Fi is down sometimes but is usable. The library is one thing that is better in this college. For the mess and canteen, the food is fine. Although some problems arose in the past, they were resolved immediately. As per sports facilities, more equipment should be provided by the college.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Each teacher is better than the other. On the other hand, the curriculum appears to be just a waste of time, with no practical, applicable knowledge for future placements and no way that makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are neither too hard nor too easy. Students usually pass these exams, but the main issue is the attendance criteria, which should be removed.
Other: Better practical knowledge and a well-planned curriculum are needed in these fields. Along with various on-site and practical learning opportunities that can be used in the future, not just for exams.
